I have read so much garbage over the last +24 hours about this acquisition of #Steemit and it's effect on the #Steem Blockchain.
Hopefully, this livestream puts to bed some of these garbage concerns.

Despite a number of people who have pointed out the obvious, I will repeat it again.

They are two completely different things.

It's sort of funny, Stephen... if you're over 50 and have been part of this gig for a long time, the session offered a sense of reassurance. For me, at least in the short run... time will tell, on the rest.
If you're 30 and under, it offered an opportunity to scream incoherently and declare that "all is lost."
I also found it ironic that BTC took one of its infamous $400 nosedives immediately preceding the broadcast, and a bunch of people started shouting "Look how much the world HATES what you've done!"
It all reminds me that one of the primary reasons I almost didn't become part of this gig was that it reminded me too much of the "squawky squabbles" that make Reddit what it is.
Ha, yep, but I think that is just about everywhere. The internet has given everyone a voice, and it's just people being people. :)

Absolutely steem is steem and steemit is steemit tron and justin sun can purchase steemit because it's a dapp build on steem or company owned by ned butt he can not purchase or control steem because its decentralize blockchain noday can own a decentralize blockchain without the consensus of all developers or community in this case espasily top steemit witnesses

There's still lots of reasonable anxiety because, of what I read, did not answer any of raised issues. Steem users didn't invent the merger with China-based company. China-based means censorship. Steem had users, Tron didn't have anything to offer them, so the latter decided to buy the former. Crippling the steem ecosystem

Justin said they will bring steemit to Samsung devices, accelerate development, migrate to Tron, swap tokens (even if not immediately) - so how the same?
It sounds like they are not planning on swapping tokens anytime soon, if ever. They talked about getting steem listed on more exchanges... be odd to work to do that, then do a token swap which would mean re-configuring those same steem listings..
