7000+ users are subscribed to their mailing list and have now received an email in their mailbox which is referencing an article here on Steemit.
This is great news for Steemit as Brave New Coin subscribers will now see the value of a platform that has incentive's for valuable information and given one of Brave New Coins products is a news service this could be a beautiful relationship going forward! I see Steemit becoming the first site that leaked, valuable, insightful or interesting information will be posted and the go to site for breaking news in the crypto currency space..

I think Steemit is going to grow very fast. There is a possibility of a vicious viral cycle where if the price of BTC and ETH go up then people will want to acquire them and using Steem could be seen as the lowest barrier to entry for doing that.
It could be that Steem becomes the entry point into the crypto community.
That is possible. Plus, even with the economy surrounding Bitcoin and all the apps that will be developed on Ethereum, I would argue that Steem has the potential for even greater utility. This social media platform is creating real value and from what the founders have said, it will only be part of a much larger picture eventually. One thing we have not seen yet with Bitcoin (to my knowledge) is any large-scale use of it for payrolls. If this platform grows, we are going to have a ton of people being paid in this currency, which happens to be secure, instant, and easily transferable without fees.
If I am an online merchant, it makes a lot of sense for me to be setting up my proverbial hot dog stand or casino (fill in the blank with any business that takes advantage of disposable income) right near the exit, so when these Steemit "employees" come out flush with cash, they'll have a place to spend it. Adoption could be viral, and someday most people might never have to convert to fiat. We have been saying that for a few years in other cryptocurrencies, but the value of this platform and the numbers of people being attracted to it bring us much closer to that reality than before, I think.
Excellent points. I think the first real test will be the first few days after the July 4th initial payout. What will people do with their Steem Dollars? If most just cash out to bitcoin it will have a dampening effect on Steemit. But if most people hold their Steem Dollars it should help to encourage online merchants to open their businesses to Steemit, as Steem Dollars will then be seen as a desirable commodity.
When I go to http://bravenewcoin.com/market-cap/
I get wrong results when
a)filtering as % change and
b) when I filter as marketcap...
wrong coins (some) get up the list.
PS plus a suggestion
Please add a first row with numbers (like coinmarketcap) so I can easy identify if a coin is in 9th place or 11th place etc.

In regards to comment 'B' are you talking about solarcoin?? i believe this is because BNC are counting the coins in supply (i think a massive amount was premined and held);
