Steemit - quality of content

in #steemit8 years ago

Steemit is a great project which has got the potential to become something really big. Steemit’s future will be mainly led by it’s whales and their understanding and responsibility. It will grow if those high-level curators vote wisely while Steem value will represent all Steemit authors‘ quality of content.

Here’s a list of what I think is valuable content:

  • Authors‘ original creative work – e.g. writing, arts, photography, music, etc.
  • Authors’ original reporting about any experiences
  • Author’s original tutorials or howtos
  • Well researched content from different sources and putting it into a new context (any media and text sources must be mentioned right next to it and also listed at the post’s end)
  • oganizing groups to connect authors

Sources must always be mentioned

The following is a list of what I think is less valuable content:

  • Identical or almost identical content (text and/or media) from other sources/authors without putting it into a new context
  • Personal issues (fishing for pity or compliments)
  • Splitting one topic/content into a high number of posts for the purpose of increasing own author rewards

A list of bad content:

  • Expressions of discriminiation, hate, nationalism (there should be no national borders on Steemit)
  • Plagiarism (any non original content without a source)
  • Begging for votes/money/followers/whales

The lists are probably incomplete. I just want to make Steemers aware of this topic - there is probably more to add. Let’s produce original, creative and well researched content to let Steemit grow up.

Share this post if you think it is important and make people discuss about it. I just presented my opinion on it.
