Beneficiaries!

Did you ever heard of this word on steem it??

If the answer is NO then you have arrived on right place

Today I will try to make you guys understand about "beneficiaries" and I will also do some suggestion for minnows.

So stay tuned till the end

Did you notice sometimes that your post reward gets low during payout?

Many of you will say Yes rest will say No.

Many of you may be thinking that- I am talking about curation. No, I am not.
I know that there is 25% curation rewards for those who vote your post, but I am not talking about this stuff.

So what the hell I am talking about?

Ok, let me clear you guys-

Suppose you have a post with 10$ post reward.

Now after 7 days you will get 7.5$ which is 75% of the post and the rest 2.5$ which is 25% of total reward goes to the curator.

But the thing i am talking about-
Sometimes we see that post reward directly get decreased by some amount at the time of post-payout.( You may not face, you will understand after reading full blog )

Let's make it easier with an example-

You have 10$ on your post and at the time of payout it decreased to 9$( Decreasing will vary)
and you get 75% from that 9$ and rest goes to the curator.

So now a question arrives-

Where or who took my 1$

This is called the Beneficiaries

This will only Happen to you only when you will post on Steem Blockchain through third party website/app.

Example of some third party website/app-

  • eSteem (android app)

  • Steemhunt (website)

  • dmania (website)

  • Stepshot (android app)

  • And many more

Steemit and Busy has no beneficiaries, so if you post through these websites, you will not face this problem.

How to check beneficiaries?

After knowing all those stuffs you may ask- How I can check if this app/or website has beneficiaries or not?

To check beneficiaries of a app or website you firstly need to do a post through it.

i will be using this post- https://steemit.com/esteem/@ayasha/traditional-ceremony-of-chittagong-75a70249e1223 to show you screenshot example(done through esteem app)

After posting, click on the post link and remove steemitfrom the link and write steemd and then press enter. Don't change anything eles.

After pressing enter it will take you to steemd block explorer like below screenshot-

Screenshot_64.png

Make sure that you are seeing these stuffs-
Screenshot_65.png

If not seeing then click on advance mode like below screenshot-

Screenshot_66.png

After showing these data, scroll a bit. You will see a option of "Beneficiaries" like below picture-

Screenshot_67.png

On this picture, it is showing 1000

1000 means 10%
2500 means 25%

So you can say that esteem has 10% beneficiaries. This 10% will automatically cutten off from your post reward by system. If you have 1$ in your post it will be 0.90$ at the time of payout and from this 0.90$ you will get 75% reward.

Why beneficiaries is added on these app/website ?

The answer is very simple.
Developer worked hard behind this project and they keep doing so.

So they deserve this reward. That's why they set it on their website or app and this how they automatically get rewarded.

Is their any way to remove beneficiaries?

No, this is not possible. If you want to avoid beneficiaries you need to avoid the project while posting.
You can use steemit and busy as there is no beneficiaries.

Suggestion For Minnows

I have seen 90% minnows post through theses third party website/app for reward as some of these app rewards for posting through the app.

Such as-

  • Post through eSteem app often gets a vote of 0.50$-0.80$

  • Selected meme on dmania gets a powerful upvote

  • Stepshot vote on photography posts.

These are the reason why they post through these app.

Many of them use bid bot on these post which gave 5-10% profit. So my suggestion to those-

  • If you post through third party website/app, don't use bid bot on those post as those post has beneficiaries and some percentage will be automatically cutten off from the post. So you will get no profit or some time get a loss.

  • If you want to use bid bot then use it on those post which is done through busy or steemit.

If you face difficulties understanding anything, do comment. i will try to reply with an answer.

This is the end of this blog, hope i was able to make u guys understand about beneficiaries and hopefully my suggestion will help you growing on steemit.

These are so important to know those who use those apps.....but what I think, those who use esteem or some apps who gave a big upvote could be considered as helping apps.

I was totally blind about beneficiaries. But now i know the things. But i have a question.......
Third party took some amount but they give vote too. Sometimes, i write a good blog but no one vote me. So, what should i do ?
