We are all happy to say this, so I have to write it again:
We are finally ready!
The site is completely re-created and programmed by @dumar022, that was his breaking the ice with Javascript and that's why it took so long. This version of the website on http://steem-news.com was completely created in Javascript, HTML, and CSS, we bought unlimited hosting from GoDaddy and decided to host some more things. We will let you know about new plans when the time comes.
First we planned to build a website full of manually chosen links for useful and important posts on Steemit.
We also planned to paste only important news about Steem and Steemit platform. That didn't change but the way we fetch that news - changed. So we found a way to fetch that info using Steem js API and a way to filter the posts automatically. We always have four most recent post from @steemitblog. Beside Steem API we also used CoinMarketCal API to fetch the news about upcoming events related to Steem and Steemit. We also provide our readers with the news about the market and upcoming airdrops.

Yes, we have a weekly horoscope!
The final vision is to provide a right information but also and some relaxed content that could attract more people! So, when we earn our first 10 SBD, we will organize selfie contests "Girl of the week" and "Guy of the week", and we want to include some nasty Steem-celebrity section but we are still looking for the right people to write that for us!
