Why are Steemit payouts going down?

If you look at the trending page, and compare it to a few weeks ago.. You may think the site is in decline, but do not worry this is almost certainly temporary, and is being caused by two main things.

  • Voting Power
  • Bitcoin Dip

If you were not aware every account is only allowed 10 votes at 100%, and then it takes 5 days for that voting power to regenerate. So if everyone is continuing to use the site everyday then most people are never generating back 100% of their voting power, which will obviously result in less payouts.

Also with Bitcoin taking a small crash that has obviously rippled out to the other coins. If you look at basically every other crypto they have all crashed hard, and STEEM has held a decent price compared to others. So just like when we were at 10 cent STEEM it will be the people that take this time to earn STEEM while it's cheap, because if it spikes again we may not see $1 STEEM again.. just like we probably will not ever see .10 cent STEEM either.

Conclusion

Steemit is still the only site that allows anyone the ability to sign up and post for free, and have the opportunity to post anything they want, and possibly even get $100 upvote from a whale.. And no other website can say they are doing the same with the site itself paying people (and not just tipping).

So if you enjoy the community, and believe what we are doing here then do what the market is doing and "take a breather" and just wait for the next big wave!

Good point I didn't even think about all this!

I wouldn't mind one more dip to buy before the next wave :)

Lol right.. that'd be nice ;D

The same amount of STEEM is printed everyday.

What do you mean, to not continue using the site and upvoting so we get more payouts? Help me understand.

If you check here https://busy.org/@diabolika your voting power is at 43% and it takes 5 days to generate back to 100%

Wise words... try making money with fb, will never happen lol
