Why Steemit is the Future of Social Media
Would you create articles and blogs for free if it offered "great exposure"? I have seen a lot of people, specially freelance content writers, writing scathing posts regarding the same and ranting on a number of Social Media sites. But that's what you do every single day. You create content on these social media sites and they in turn make money out of it. Except Steemit.
Steemit gives you, the user some steem(depending on your Steem power) for creating these posts.
Also nowadays people have been moving away from some social media sites cough Facebook cough because content has become shit.
With Steemit, as users, you could decide what kind of content is appreciated, and what kind of content should not by promoting or upvoting! And get rewarded for helping curate and shape the community!
Finally the power is in your hands as the user and not just in the hands of these conglomerates, who make millions off the backs of you the users while giving you nothing but likes. Well you know where you can shove those likes? No wonder the like icon is shaped like that....
