Steem VS Ripple XRP - A Showdown of Sheer Speed

This post is in no way arguing the validity or superiority of one of these cryptocurrency over the other, rather it is a shout-out to their sheer Sonic speed!

The Steem blockchain is designed to be one of the fastest and most efficient blockchains in
existence, which is necessary to be able to support the amount of traffic expected on a social
media platform larger than the size of Reddit. Steem has already surpassed Bitcoin in number
of transactions, and is able to scale to support 10,000 or more transactions per second.

(I have read that Steem should have the capability of supporting up to 180,000 transactions per second, though I am not sure of the validity of this claim, as I merely read it 'somewhere.' Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin can't even touch the speed of the Steem blockchain.

Steemit packs a hell of a punch when it comes to utility. It is it's own social media platform, tipping/earning system, has it's own version of Twitch - DLive.io, Steembay, Steem Monsters, DTube.io (Steemit's answer to youtube).

XRP’s transaction rate has beaten what can be seen as a landmark that of Visa. In fact, the XRP processing speed is ahead by half – talking of 50,000 transactions per sec for XRP to 24,000 transactions/sec of VISA.

If by any chance you may have doubts about this information; it is public on both Visa and Ripple (XRP) websites. Hence it is safe to say XRP has surpassed visa in that particular section.

In fact, the recent COBALT updates have been the reason behind the increasing gap between Ripple and many other competitors. Another factor for this scenario is the increase in the transaction capacity that has excellent decentralization improvements.

All in all I think Ripple and Steem look like solid choices if you're looking to invest.. I plan to continue investing in both.
