What do you think about it?

”I looked closer at this steemit and here's what I think about it all:
Supporters repeat steemit like a mantra that on Wykop.pl/Reddit.com, for example, people write for free, and when you write on steemit you earn. When you enter the page https://steemit.com/, the first what stands out is $$, which earned individual articles. In reallity it is a marketing bait, because you have to divide that amount into 2, since only half will be paid immediately and the other half (which is rated as steem power) will be able for cash out in two years. The only problem is that in two years it is not known how much steemit will be worth.
For me it's no problem that one does not earn on Wykop.pl, I'm not here for the money, only to watch funny pictures, discuss. But I understand that some people like the idea of earning for writing articles on a website. How does it look on steemit?
Firstly, only a few people earn. It is impossible that each of 40,000 users steemit got e.g. $ 1000 per month. Here you have the distribution of wealth in the steemit. As one can see 81.5% of users have $ 8, it can not even be paid due to the constraints. Those who earned up on steemit is 1.8%. These are the people who bought, dug steemit the occasion of its founding - founders, their friends and even maybe some random people. Daily prizes for articles are obviously limited and dependent on the capitalization of steemit.
Well, but this handful gets money for those articles which can be seen on the main steemit.com. Where does the money come from?
The money comes from that people exchange BitCoin currency, steemit and steemit power. Why do they do that? Simply, they speculate the market value of steemit.com. If it continues to grow, they will earn.
How is it different from steem steem power? The amount of steem doubles per year. This means that if you change 1000 zł into bitcoins and 1000 zł for steem, then after a year you will have only 500 zł currency steem. This is assuming that the market value steemitu.com is constant, there will be no new investors. On the other hand, if the market value of steemit.com doubles in a year, your steem will continue to be worth 1000 zł. Due to the high inflation rate, noone holds up steem more than a day or two. It is exchanged to steem power instead, which is resistant to inflation through a simple trick. (͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ °)
90% of newly produced steem goes to steem power holders. While 10% goes for payments to authors of articles and their curators. This means that the holders of steem power are affected by the inflation only in 5%. If you had 10,000 zł in steem, it would pay 500 zł inflation during the year, which will go to the payment of authors of articles. Well, unless the value of steemit rises above 5.26% then you do not lose anything, and you might be gaining. As I have already mentioned - steem power is exchangable after 2 years.
Additionally - steem, the more power you have the more money, creators of articles are getting by your upvotes. Whales (the largest shareholders on steemit) may grant, for example, the $ 200 + another $ 200 steem power with a single click. The best part is that whales can upvoat their own articles and their comments and in this way could draw money from steemit.
The quality of the articles leaves a lot to be desired. Full of articles about the steemit, that it is wonderful, welcome to steemit users, with applications on steemit, articles on how to write articles on steemit etc. A bit of a sect feeling.
You can also find pseudo motivational articles that were on Wykop.pl under the tag cancercontent, yet those articles have earned thousands of dollars. Because it was decided by the whales. Some go along the line of least resistance and make plagiarism, thus also some managed to earn something.
At the wykop.pl for which discovery will be dug on the main corresponds to the community, the more upvotes, the discovery is higher. By contrast, steemit whales are responsible for the articles getting on the main page, because the upvotes number, but the amount it does not count but the amout of $$ that have been earned on certain article. De facto steemit.com is manually controlled by whales in connection with bots they use. Whales are completely free to determine what is earning money, articles that get to the main page. Because as I said, ordinary users can give 100 votes and the article does not earn even $ 1, and comes whale, fires bots and article can earn $ 1,000 in a few seconds.
Whales derive money from steemit, create multi-accounts, write their articles and comments, and then provide upvotes from their whale accounts. This is such a cartel of cryptocurrency (͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ °) In this way, recover the 5% inflation, which is susceptible to Steem Power. As they are earning money now, they do not have to worry about how steemit value will be shaped in two years. In order not to be groundless - here you have an example of such trafficking.
But whales are not stupid and they also promote the common people. In this way, the average user becomes motivated to write articles, he saw that someone out there has earned thousands of dollars on writing some stupid things. People who get into whale's tit, of course, will be touting the site and promote it. Similarly, in MLMach like Amway and Monavie. There also appears a man of success and a lot of people on it takes, devotes his or her time and money, but none of it is.
This Polish example, someone who's made his on steemit is innuendo
He managed to get to one of the whales, which is has 3 whale accounts ( @steemed, @itsascam, @steemroller)
This means that the whale added it to their botlist and as innuendo writes an article, he automatically gets 3 upvotes from these accounts. It's hard to say whether you just got lucky, that whale spotted him if he could write so well. This is the assigement I leave with you. Maybe one of you will be the tit sucker.? (͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ °)
Is it worthy to invest in steemit, now? Over the past month quotations increased 20 fold. This quickly inflated bubble that may burst quickly. Surely this is not a safe investment, steemit.com does not bring any profit. On the other hand, many MLM businesses that are similar in nature, have been successful. Just that people are attracted by the possibility of earning a steemit will attach and raise capital at a rate of over 5% per year (inflation). In the case of such an Amway come each year new suckers who buy promotional materials and their products. Maybe steemit will be like that?
Summarizing :
If you are looking for steemit high-quality articles, you will not find them there. Well, unless some needle in a hay slope.
If you want to make money on steemit, it is possible, but statistically unlikely. You might as well try your hand on Amway, there's also some successful sellers.”

thx mate took me a while,I will add direct link to the original at the bottom

Posting your thoughts will help people make better debates on this. Thankx for posting this. I was thinking the same if articles is considered credible if it's paid but then again, it shows how value this content is and shows transparency. All other media blogs get paid or contributes to their reputation. Just not so transparent on others.

Hey! As a newcomer, I'm glad to find this. I also noticed the similarity with Reddit and it got me thinking. So thanks for the info. I also hope more noobies (like me) read this. It will help to settle down the "let's earn easy money" idea. And again, thanks.

exactly, have you YT, Reddit??

I'm sorry, man. Have I what? I'm from Colombia and I don't know the meaning of YT.

You Tube channel ;)

Then yes. Haha. I do have one. No videos, but meh...

90% of newly produced steem goes to steem power holders. While 10% goes for payments to authors of articles and their curators. This means that the holders of steem power are affected by the inflation only in 5%.

The maximum debasement is ~6.7% if 100% of the money supply is held in SP. The 1.7% comes from the fact that 50% of the debasement is paid in SP and presuming the other 50% paid in SBD are powered up.

But if the ratio of SP to STEEM is 9:1, then the debasement of SP is 0%. This is easy to see because 9 SP are created for every STEEM, thus the ratio remains constant. If the ratio drops below 9, then SP has a positive percentage rate compounded gain, because the 9:1 ratio of the dilution pulls the proportion of SP to STEEM up towards 9:1.

I recently wrote an article on why users shouldn't be trying to turn Steemit into another reddit site. Also why users shouldn't expect to sign up start posting and immediately start earning.

Steem/Steemit is an experiment in part and with anything in the cryptocurrency world money is made on speculation of future real world applications.

"Whales" have an active interest in seeing this platform succeed so it really does matter what the value of Steem is next year. Most bots run by those like @steemed are selective. If you don't continue writing quality posts their bots will stop following you. The idea is that in order to make the platform successful there has to be redistribution. Not all Whales run bots, many take the time to manually curate.

As @angeltriana said, hopefully articles like this will help stop the "easy money" mentality and draw more people who want to be part of a successful community as opposed to those that just show up for the money.

thx mate did my best just want to know if steemit is legit and worth it
