RE: Do you REALIZE how Steemit IS STRANGE now? without BOTS and TRAILS?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I notice Steemit.com has recently migrated from a Halliburton ISP in Texas to an Amazon ISP in Virginia. I'm no expert, yet suspect many APIs and other apps/sites dependant on steemit will have issues until they are reconfigured to reflect the changes in DNS Servers and IPs.
See more to the story here - The Future: Blockchains, Decentralization, And Keeping Up With The Times (With A Little Bit About Steemit Recently Migrating From A Halliburton To An Amazon Internet Service Provider.
Perhaps this is why some of us have been experiencing issues when using steemit.com, steemd.com, steemnow.com, busy.org and the like recently?

Wow usual suspects. Meet the new boss.

all API worked perfectly at least 9 hours ago.
So I suspect this migration didn't cause this problem.

Maybe Whales' experiment?

Could be. I do not know much about Whale experiments.
Not knowing the exact day/time of said migration makes it hard to pin-point. Yet I do know if any app/site API was not reconfigured to reflect the change of DNS Server info etc. the migration presents then they are trying to connect to the old IPs (which simply will not function). IMO any way.
