I was rather quiet on here yesterday because I knew I was fast approaching my 1000th post on Steemit. I wanted to make this landmark post something special, and something useful, so I spent most of the day working on something for the community.
One of the things I am most grateful for when it comes to Steemit, is the amount I have learned since signing up to this site. I have learned a lot through conversing with many of you, and through pushing myself to get better at my writing and my art so I can provide better content for my followers.
With that sentiment in mind, I felt it fitting that for my 1000th post I should learn something new. For a long time I have wanted to know how to generate my own matrix-style design, and thanks to the wealth of tutorials on YouTube, I was able to figure out how to do that, and how to embed an image into the matrix as well.
Here are the results of what I learned. I made the image into a large 1920 x 1080 resolution pic so that it can be used as a desktop wallpaper. I also made versions in a number of different colours, but if there is a colour you want that I have not provided, let me know in the comments and I will see if I can get one to you.
NOTE: These images are such a high resolution that you are able to zoom in and see each and every character used to create the effect. For this reason, if you have a bandwidth limit, I would advise choosing only one image to download.
I hope that you can make use of them, and I thank Steemit and everyone who is a part of it for all I have learned so far. I imagine by the time I hit 2000 posts, I will have learned a great deal more, and the desktop wallpaper I create for the community at that point, will be a lot better.

I don't use the command line much but when I do, I change the text to green to make myself feel like a hacker. I reckon the green wall paper would match that nicely
I haven't done that before, but I have sat in front of the computer with http://hackertyper.net/ open, and when someone walks in just start bashing the fuck out of the keys to make it look like I'm hacking the pentagon. They fall for it every time..
lol another thing I've heard to do is

Basiclly you will just ping a website so it will look like you at doing something, people will assume you hacking

You're in a great position for the coming mass adoption. When it arrives, your current following will help you amass a much larger one through resteeming your posts. Then when that mass adoption causes the price of STEEM to rise, you will see your account value soar and your upvote will be very valuable to those lucky enough to receive it.
It might take a while... But, I truly believe that it will happen.

You should make it also animated and in portrait 😀
I could have animated it rather easily, but most desktop wallpapers cannot be animated so I didn't see the point. Given the high resolution, the files size of an animated version would also be excessively large.
A portrait version could be useful for mobile phone wallpapers however. Thanks for the idea.
