Value Proposition
I read a good post by @shortsegments about value and price, and he refers to another article by @edicted about market cap. I admire both authors for their excellent work in this space and for the education they provide, but I think price matters.
If Steem was priced in dollars, there would be a lot more interest in the platform and it’s improvements.
If Steem was priced in dollars, there would be more motivation to learn about the platform and it’s complexities.
I think investors are more likely to be interested in Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum because of their value.
Now I admit the coins like XRP and Tron are similarly priced, but due to the number of coins they have larger market caps and their leaders constantly generate buzz or public interest in their coin.
We have two paths readily available to increase adoption, which are tried and true. We seem to be on a third path of utility adoption, add applications which people use to increase use of the Token Steem. This may work, we will see.
