What are the best platforms to monetize your writing. Reddit thread.

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

This thread at reddit caught my attention.

I wasn't very comprehensive about what steemit is or does. I just drop the link, I know that is just enough for those that are interesting to seek further, its just enough for someone that is looking for something new refreshing and out of the box innovative to click just once at Steemit.com to be amazed of what we have managed to build to stick around.

The -7 points though does not fit to what my comment stands for. if you don't mind follow the link on the top and upvote my comment to make it visible. People must know steemit exist, they have to see what we can deliver.

Steemit is not just another blog. Steemit is how blogs should be build from now on. We are the future of social media, everything else is just old news.
So when someone asks just say Steemit.

You said more than you should. "steemit.com" should be enough.

What else to say really :D

Next time put a bit more effort if you're trying things like these. No one is going to see your post now on there since it got downvoted hard.

I posted about steemit on there also and gave an better explanation, give that one a upvote instead for desired effect.

Edit: but good job of finding this post and submitting it here! We need to take advantages of opportunities like these.

we wont need the advertisement. steemit will be knod for what it is. there is noone like us. and by the time someone else try to copy us we will be lightyears ahead.wn and recognize

If no one talks about it or shares their posts outside steem ecosystem, adoption rate will be slow as snail in a hurry. This kind of word of mouth advertising can be very effective to fix that.

I have done more promotion for steemit than you can imagine. But I am mostly conswntrated to mouth to mouth promo. @mykonos. By the end of this summer I will trend steemit here I promise you that.

Sounds like a man with a mission. I'll be happy to follow your progress and wish you achieve your goals here!

Steemit have offer me way more than expected. I have achieved my goals here to be honest. I am just trying to pay back the community by promoting the platform everywhere I can. I had the chance to attend at steemfest. I am truly dedicated to steemit man.

They don't take kindly to the word steemit around there.

Fear always creates tension.... and it is a very valid fear!!
Full Steem Ahead!

Well to be honest, he put far more effort into this post here on steemit instead of that reddit post when it should've been vice versa.

I dont have much time in my disposal. I work 12 hours shifts steemit is my priority rather than Redditch.

I understand. And it's all okay as long as we work together as a community.

I agree, could've at least answered the questions.

I tried to put in a bit more effort to fix the problem.

"There is this new platform that is supposed to make it easier to monetize your content, no matter what kind it is.

Just create an account and start writing! I've seen many people publish their own books there already, chapter by chapter. Some get few cents, some even hundreds of dollars per chapter. It all depends on how much following you can gather.

So building a 50$ a month revenue might not happen over a night or even a month or two, but it's very doable in long term if you put in the effort.

Personally, I'm not a much of an writer, but I've posted few artworks of mine and I've gained around 20 dollars for them in total. Which is pretty huge for me personally since I'm only a hobbyist!

Oh and the site is called steemit.com if you want to give it a try!"

I might have gone full shill on that one but it's the truth

Haha, I feel the same way, and its not like I was constantly talking about Reddit everwhere 6 years ago neither, cause back then it was far superior than anything else. Now times are changing. ;)

So you're an old timer then. I think I've been using Reddit for 3 years max regularly now. Before that I used to visit 4chan, hah. Those were the times.

Just saw their steal the flag shenigans, they haven't changed at all. You should check it out if you have missed it.

Good to hear you feel the same way about steemit now, builds up my confidence also even though I do share the feeling but everyone always have their doubts.

I've yet to gone and try market steemit outside much, really. I'm waiting for communities and then really start the work. If you're looking to start some of your own communities, feel free to get in touch if you need a moderator!

I will definitely keep you in mind, man! I've been trying to spread the word here and there, even included in my free time within games, etc. Its always fun when someone actually recognizes the name and knows about cryptos too.

I never was much of a 4channer, but I hear they are driving Shia nuts, hahah!

It's hard to get people to listen or interested when crypto is the topic. Not really sure why. Maybe even the slightest complexity is a total turn off or people don't like to try out new things before they are proven. But I can't really blame them since crypto is still in the innovators or early adopters phase.

Most people will be using crypto without realizing it in the future, I guess. Or they just know that it uses blockchain, like it is with the internet.

And either Shia is stubborn as hell or he likes the game he has with 4chan. Can't see any other reason for him to continue. And for those who don't know what I'm talking about, check this for laughs:

Awesome, great job!

Remember you can always mention the subreddit r/steemit. Its not so active currently but there are some helpful links in the sidebar if people have more questions!

(The subreddit and its future is a work in progress.)

Ah, well next time. r/steemit should be given some love, maybe someone could come up with a script that would automatically add the top trending posts from here to over there?
