RE: Quick question.. ?

No worries man. If you don't mind I'm going to leave it there for a bit. My understanding is that I get interest from delegating so I'm totally using you as a guinea pig :) The Whales and Orca's use Minnowbooster to give us lowly Minnows and Redfish delegations that we pay for, and they get paid out for it, so I'm trying to see what happens when I circumvent Minnowbooster and just handle it myself.

Thanks for following Teddy's journey. 2 Years ago he decided our car's engine is the perfect place for a nap and then the fan belt took his ear off and grabbed his fur which caused a spine injury. Since we broke him we decided to keep him. :) He has his own hashtag on Instagram # thestoryofteddy. It's easier to post videos of him from there than trying to upload everything to Youtube. I think he's also the only Steem powered cat in South Africa! lol. It's been a great help paying for his vet bills.

nah you don't get interest if you just delegate straight to someone yourself, you only get money for delegation if you use the minnowbooster service (or something similar) and they are basically paying you a cut of the money that someone else pays to receive the delegation. That is a totally different thing - that is paying for delegation, and being paid to delegate. I personally think it is bad for Steem, for many reasons.

This, what you are doing, on the other hand, is great. A small personal delegation to a quality poster so they can continue to use the platform in periods of peak use / low bandwidth is awesome - I do this regularly myself.

@demolotionranch, as soon as some of your posts pay out you can "power up" the post earnings to have more Steem Power of your own and you won't experience the bandwidth issues then.

Cheers - Carl

( It doesn't cost you anything and if I understand it correctly I would get interest on the loan. Kind of like having a fairy godmother. If you're absolutely not interested I will remove the delegation but it has a week cooling off period so it would take a week to reflect. Just let me know. )

I'd be more than happy to have it if you did get the interest on the delegations and from what all I understood people pay to get delegated to be able to use the platform as these determine the power of the user over the platform. And you technically won't be using the SP and you'd suffer some loss from it over the period of delegation. As you mentioned it would take a week to cool off and according to carl by then I'd have earned from posts to get better bandwidth so i'd request you to take it back as I can't bear to be a reason for your loss lizelle :)
Am really overwhelmed by your super kind gesture :)
Thanks a lot for the support and that's all I want.

Ok. Well, I'll wait till after your Shovel post pays out in 4 days, then I'll remove the delegation. If you use the SBD from the payout to buy Steem you would be up by about 4 Steem in total then.

Delegation removed.
You do actually need to put Steem into Steem Power for your bandwidth to grow. When you get an SBD payout, buy Steem on the market and power up otherwise you're never going to get anywhere and going to get mad at Steemit for 'not working' and leave.
Good luck
