Hello steemian and its month 9, yes I am late yikes 27/06/2017 but anyway so how have I progressed?
I must say this month I dont expect much if you are a regular reader of my stuff you may know I spent 2 weeks with my Dad which means I was not on Steemit.com as much, not only that but I have some other things going on in my life right now which I have to deal with before I can concentrate on Steemit.
Dont get me wrong I would rather be on Steemit but the crap I need to deal with now is very urgent.

Its annoying as this month as you may have noticed hardfork19 as also came into play I just hope with all this I still beat my first months report.
Now before I do continue I want to make it clear I have posted this report before but have taken and added information so its more currant and update.

I do a monthly report to keep tabs and track of any monthly progress I find it will be a good way to measure how far I have come since I started here on the steemit platform.
BUT I have been told this is useful to show newbies the details as these posts normally encourage others and demonstrates whats possible on Steemit with time and patience.

I am not a whale nor is this a rags to millions type of report its more about sharing real data I am no expert nor claim to be one.

How did it start

Before showing my monthly reports I want you to know what I started with.
The reason for this is because it may be slightly different for you depending on the steem value when you joined the platform.
So like the many others users who also started Steemit around the same time as me we was offered 10 Steem power to join with a starting reputation of 25.

Well firstly congrts to me as I have managed the 2000 SP mark would be awesome to reach 3k cant wait.
So I ended the previous month with 1,903 power and ended this month 7 with 2,329.
Thats a increase of 426 which isn't too bad, sure it doesn't beat the record of 718 but it does beat my 2nd best record of 379.

I ended month 6 with a total of 63 rep well just... and this month I am still at 63 or 63.4 if you like.
As I said I am happy with this result.

Followers month 7 I ended with 260, last month I had 232

Month 8 📅

I ended the 8th month with a total of 2,466 oh my yikes!...if you look I ended last month with 2,329 meaning I gained 137 SP.

So month 8 I been stuck on 63 for a very good while, did I make 64 this month?
Haha nope still on 63 gee but no worries like I said I am good plus I am nearly there last time I looked I was on 63.8.
Surely next month?

So my dear followers for month 8.. I ended with 260 last month and now I have 290.

Month 9 📅

So in month 9 the rewards pool was finally full and the whale experiment continued, as mentioned above I dont look too forward to this month's results as I been away visiting my dad for 2 weeks which didn't give me much of a opportunity to get on, obviously effecting this months gains heavily.
So we finished last month with a disappointing 2,466 this was due to the rewards pool being empty and this month we made it to 2,576 ouch again, this means I gained 110 which is even less then last months, but still more then my first time on steemit.
Also I want to mention that ganined SP as got more difficult due to its price being around $2.00 which will obliviously play into effect.

On the other hand follower's last month were 290 we managed to end it with 394, thats a wow! 104 gained!?
This was because it seems steemit worked on their marketing and alot of new people came on to Steemit.com the problem seems to be a lack of activity.

Haha would you believe nothings changed yet.. yep finished last month on 63.8 now on 63.9 lol.

And there you have it, some who started even later then me have managed better results but I cant completely complain as many haven't reached this far or they have quit.

Also be aware some of them who come in already have big followings on other sites or large amounts of money to invest, I have to keep reminding myself of this fact so newbies dont get too discouraged as I am still excited about my progress.

Does little power really make any difference?💪

In steemits younger days getting power was easier with its 100% creation rate so this would of been alot more noticeable, these days you would probably need a extra 100 power to notice the difference but lately with the value of steem going up you can notice that SP making a difference.
You'll want power so you have more control on Steemit.com it brings you in more curation rewards which can be traded for steemdollars.

Apparently when I last checked there was around 151,000 steemit users, and in my opinion mostly inactive users, but regardless when I last checked my steem power ranking I was around number #2625

Most Steemit gains score? 👊

I had a post that made me just over $50, then I saw it! The Steemit.com potential!

My most successful power post was actually back in month 7 when I had one post make me 271 power!

My highest post so far on votes? 👨

The most amount of votes I managed on a single post so far is 213, that post made me only 8.60.

Did you ever buy power?

In month 3 yes I brought some power but you may be surprised how little I spent I started by just spending 2 dollars here and there when I could afford it, as I am very poor and I brought it at times I noticed the steem price was so low, seriously thats about it.

As for my followers it seems that bots have mostly gone but I do know over 300 of you are apparently active.
To my active and supportive followers I want to thank you for all your support so far, as of course remember the more power you offer me, the more power and money I can offer you when I vote you back.

Its come to our attention that theres a huge problem going on when it comes to votes.
For some reason less and less of you are voting and yes normally the argument is there is no point voting as you gain nothing from it.
Thats wrong guys you wont get much to begin with but trust me voting will help you gain more power!
Slowly your votes will gain you more and you will get more weight but you have to vote atleast 20 to 30 times please dont think your votes arent worth anything and dont count they really really do.
So not only does it benefit the people who spend time producing the content but it really does benefit YOU with curation rewards.

Another thing I will add is please vote more on those who are active and have under 4000 steem power the more people we have over 4000 power the more people will earn in the future as the trending page needs variety.

The downfall is the circle jerking when it comes to votes not enough whales are voting on the minnows and dolphins, creating a very predictable trending page.

We need MORE people!

We dont need more people we need to help those who we have now unless a big whale with lots of money comes in to spend a ton and votes on many smaller fish then more people will just cause smaller rewards.
