Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 20/8/2022.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 5 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 20/8/2022.

Hope you been enjoying the so called holidaying month of August, it's indeed at least had good weather for it and so supposedly a happier time after the crippling covid pandemic. But many can't agree because there is still a war going on. It's a terrible moment in our history as Vladimir's army doesn't stall at the boarder, they instead strike fear, call treats and cast sadness into the lives of many with this war.. a war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs as eruption against America gets worse. As for Steem after the previous fix on Steemit.com I believe that not everything was fixed, sites like steemd.com and steemnow.com are fully functional. Are these sites in the hands of the SteemitTeam? If anybody as any information on these sites let me know in the comments to win a upvote from me. At one point I had a issue to get my Steem order completed, it was explained that this could only happen when the problem with Steem's liquidity provider was fixed. I think this as something to do with Steem itself and not the exchange?❓ I can't remember and so if anybody can confirm and explain this in the comments below you could win a upvote from me. I think it would be useful if the Steemit Team could warn us of such events or keep us informed on the situation in future, perhaps have someone appointed to give us the feedback as these problems can cause confusion or money loss for both investors and the general value of the Steem coin.

As for crypto Steem took a big fall because of the bitcoin downwave from 60k, this sadly initially meant it also took down with it the value of SBD's. This was expected but it's still mostly holding around that important $3 mark which is great. Seeing all that cheap Steem out there up for grabs as been catching my attention and so I continue to look at it as another situation for opportunity because I'd say if your looking to get more Steem this might still just be the best time for doing so. And that's what I like about Steem it still offers so much opportunity for investors, with other coins you'd need a lot more cash. In one way I wanted things to remain on the lower end for a while longer before another bullrun. Like this it could offer some amazing opportunities for some small ROI's, however there are no doubts it's already been going upwards. People are taking up these opportunities quickly which is a shame as the little guys struggle to get their slice of that pie, still the end intensions of this trading will be to get a bit more Steem. The weather in August was initially not as hot compared to July, this was until we experienced our 2nd proper heatwave. At night it seemed strangely more muggy then during the day, I initially thought it was just me who felt this way but other people I spoke with also said they were feeling the same. There as now been a downpour that most people desperately wanted and boy did it come down causing many floods but apart from that there hasn't been anymore rain. As for today I was in work for the late shift as I got in people seemed confused by this as they thought I was leaving. Apparently this was because some of the work that I usually do had already been done. For the staff in at the time this was a bit of a mystery but after I considered which staff were already in I didn't feel like that it was much of a mystery but rather obvious one. A few hours later into the shift I noticed this unpleasant smell, and these days if it's not the smell of burning here everyday I was now plagued by the smell of sewage. I mean I rather have the smell of burning but not to the point that it effects your health but todays smell that I had to put up with was the sewage. I'm just glad this didn't last for the rest of the shift as I still had a few hours to go but thankfully the smell left after around 40 minutes.

Yesterday I wasn't to sure if I would of been in just in time for the extra work I was betting on no but wasn't sure. I rushed over to the computer to check because I saw one of the staff in who is normally specifically there for helping out with the extra work. It was seeing him that confused me but luckily according to the information nothing would be in extra for later. During my break staff told me that some of security were taking extra long breaks lol naughty naughty but to be honest I thought they were today as I was sure one of the guys had already been there for a good while. It didn't take long for the random audit man to arrive who honestly reminded me a bit of a pirate from the way he was dressed. Could of looked a little more professional if you ask me as he suppose to be all about standards but it's always ironic. These people who audit have habit of cornering you and asking you questions to make sure you know your stuff and in most cases if only one thing is wrong that you say it's a instant fail. I feel this is kind of ridiculous as some things are really not that important. I normally try to avoid these people of course when they show up as in some instances your treated like scum for letting the team "superiors" down. I also find these people to be a nuisance because they just show up whenever they feel like it which means it leaves us without enough staff to cover all the work as the superior's all go to accommodate the visitor. I know the showing up without announcement is to make sure we are always ready but it means the business generally suffers for it when they do show up which again makes no sense at all. Still we failed the audit and it had nothing to do with me, however unlike the last visit I managed this time to completely avoid the guy. I learnt and found it rather funny that after all that so called work to hire the new guy that he as already dropped in he's notice and left. This is because he found something in which he feels is more aligned with what he's interested in plus I don't blame the guy for running the heck out of here as fast as possible. As for many especially those younger the real and early stages of work is a bit of a shock to many. Towards the end of the shift I started to smell burning again, initially I didn't think much of it because that's been a normal thing the past few days. However as I continued to work the smell grew stronger even to the point it started to make me cough slightly. I went to another floor to see if it was the same situation and it was but just slightly less, yet nobody there seemed to care or be bothered about it. Which honestly I find ridiculous as it was getting to a point it could cause a health risk. Luckily this was towards the end of shift and we were just finishing up and leaving in the next 10 minutes. I checked the outside area after for any smoke but strangely nothing was seen.

So the 2nd new arrival as started he's training, the first guy I mentioned earlier reminded me of the man who robbed me as they both had the same hair style and now this guy as a very typical "drug dealer in a hoodie" kind of look to him. So let's hope he's vibe is different, apparently he is struggling but honestly what do they expect he's only been here for like a week. They are honestly incredibly hard on the new people and wonder why people don't enjoy working in such a environment. The other night when I left work my colleagues were glad that a bit of rain was falling but moments later it started to get worse. After doing some shopping and moving on the the next shop the scene was insane with many people coming out the shops and being "trapped" by the rain. To make matters worse the downpour was so much that two rivers started to form and was dividing up the car park. There were even a few roads completely flooded, anybody walking there would need their wellies on if they wanted to avoid getting soaked. Another crazy scene was the other night, after firstly hearing some commotion by 3 teenagers it got a little nosier moments later I then looked out the window again and the next thing I know there are 50 teenagers outside the house! It looked insane!! To see that many people was outside in the street all mostly wearing hoodies and the sort who like to cause trouble is frightening, it was like a night club but outdoors. They were out there for around 40 minutes to which I'm shocked or "not" that nobody called the police to move them on, I guess nobody needed to sleep that night.. The only explanation for all these people suddenly outside a residential area is probably because they were all kicked out of a nearby illegal rave.

When I was last off work and out eating with one of my friends for a minute I thought we were going to be fighting for our lives only moments later. As we ate we both noticed a man walking in our general direction, he was wearing a balaclava👤! I thought he was going to walk nearby and past us, but my friend was the one who noticed that he was actually heading directly towards us. My friend was unfortunately correct as he walked right up to our table and started to ask us if any of us smoked? It was at this moment I thought we were going to get robbed or attacked as it's often a distraction tactic which is why I was getting ready to get hold of the glassed bottle on our table and use it against him. Luckily it seemed that for whatever reason he was just interested on whether or not we smoked. My friend later explained to me that this guy was probably going to try and sell us something illegal if we had said yes to smoking. It seems that may of indeed been the case but honestly it's frustrating that you can't go anywhere around here without random people coming up to you wearing clothing that usually indicates they are about to rob or stab someone, but yet nobody seems to care. I mean seriously why do some people think it's ok to walk about looking like bank robbers and murderers yet the police seem to somehow have difficulty identifying these people, it's so ridiculously obvious a crime is going to be committed. I mean if policed were alerted and searched the guy there is no doubt that there would either be at least a weapon on him or illegal substances which can all lead to being arrested. Anybody who is walking around like that people should be reporting them as suspicious behaviour as soon as they even set foot outside their own house, this needs to be done before someone gets hurt.. yes not after..
