Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 18/1/2022.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 5 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 18/1/2022.

January is passing so fast we didn't start the year with $8 Steem that was 2018, instead the price of Steem dropped. We had not seen Steem fall this low in a while which as been pleasing to see, there was some recovery and while it's not back to where it was Steem is still higher today than what it normally used to be. There could definitely be another fall with BTC if people panic enough but I'm thinking this isn't going to happen now and likely to go up again. What would be good is if it could hold off until I reach the 30k SP mark on here as we are getting close. This lower price provides a opportunity for those who want to get more involved with Steem, which reminds me there is something I'm getting rather concerned about and that is the fact that the wallet on Bittrex for Steem still remains "Inactive" the Bittrex exchange is important for the flow of Steem plus I brought more Steem to transfer onto Steemit for Power. I can't continue to contribute more to Steem and nor can others since the Bittrex wallet remains Inactive locking our funds stuck on their exchange. I understand it says the wallet is "under maintenance" which is something I have seen happen already many times, it specifically states that "Deposits and withdrawals are temporarily offline. Currency Maintenance." but I also saw some information that I'm not sure about but I think it means that the wallet as been under maintenance since Tue Dec 21 2021! If this is the case it's a long time to get thing's running again I don't remember the wallet being offline for so long..well at least since the split to the hive token. It's unfortunately issues like this that feed the narrative that crypto will never work. I personally haven't seen any information on Bittrex stating it would close down it's Steem wallet but perhaps I have missed this somewhere? 🏆If your interested in perhaps winning another upvote from myself anybody who can find any updated useful information on what is going on with the Steem Bittrex wallets " include the source" from where the information found, then share below on the comments section and you might just win a upvote from me if your the first to comment with that specific information, also let me know if you have heard anything🏆. We must also remember that there is little doubt that the movement of BTC falling would also effect the price of SBD's which some of us have been using to gather Steem-power. Knowing that this was getting close to collapsing had many worried about using their current strategies. As for the weather this "new year" began mild, it got colder as the days went on but my goodness did it get really freezing cold just a few days later! Luckily we sometimes had rain in the morning which washed away some of the cold. Strangely this past week it's actually been the sunshine warming us up. Well barely.. but at least it's been a little milder an lighter for longer, today most of us were fooled the day began cloudy and dark but I had a suspicion the sun might come out later and it luckily did. The disappearing text messages were resolved with a factory reset, but for some reason I got banned from WhatsApp without a warning or justification it's very frustrating. But if the phone continues working well I might consider trying again with hopes that I can get back on. Today I was off from work which was nice as it had been a while I mostly done things at home. I could of gone out to get a few things that I needed but since it's been a while I just wanted to rest catch-up and probably most importantly stay warm lol. Plus the other day I couldn't believe it when I got in all the work that needed doing, I guess this was my punishment for being happy about leaving 30 mins before the real work started the previous day. Normally this doesn't happen but what made it much more painful was its all the more complicated stuff that was left. There was a guy helping me get through but at one point he just vanished, it's not the first time he's done this but when it's time for him to go "with some people" he just disappears without saying a word lol. While my job was just to sort this out for the morning and leave it was still kind of gruelling lol, glad when I got out. Still I got to ask my colleague who was away because of covid how it was. He told me the first week of covid he felt basically like he had a bad flu and that by the 2nd week it was like a minor cold, he said overall he enjoyed being in quarantine because he got to chill at home lol. As for the progress on fitness I lost about %70 of the weight gained by the lockdowns I done this by tracking my step count per-day and doing small daily workouts. It began back in April 2021 and it continued until the beginning of October, this is when my work schedule began to revert back to normal which made it too difficult to continue. I come to the conclusion it had to be put on hold at least until the new year began. And as for steps the app for recording them was no longer working correctly, but I have reset my phone and might consider trying it again as I was doing around 105k steps for my weekly goal.

This is great news and I guess a obvious reason as to why the price of Steem increased. And so all these accounts together we hold around 12mil Steem from here I hope to continue to collect and lock-up even more STEEM! My goal 🌍 is to now reach 30.000 SP🏆, hopefully by the end of June 2022. I want to thank everybody who does vote in and for their kind support, I have now been on here for over 5 years and never powered down✔️ not once!! 🚫. I also continue to invest into STEEM with small quantities using my own fiat currency✔️, your votes can help with this also.
