Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 17/12/2021.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 5 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 17/12/2021.

You probably noticed that the price of Steem did drop suddenly by a large amount by it's standards, we then looked at Bitcoins and we can see they had a pretty big drop. But there was also something else I noticed that almost looked like a bleep in the system seems to have lasted for about 30 mins was a giant spike upwards but then everything returned to normal. I expected to hear something about it but nothing so far. Previous times Steem done well to not be effected by the movements of Bitcoin but as it feel this time it was not so lucky. However certain movements do make it easier for reaching our target, but we must remember that SBD's also took a hit. Luckily they did recovered well but to be honest I thought they would of done a little better, but when comparing and taking a look at Bitcoins I guess SBDs are about where they should be. With Steem being sold for cheaper I have definitely already seen a increase on how much Steem I was able to get for my money, and so I got a little extra here and there and will hopefully continue to do so for a little longer. As for the weather we definitely had some much colder days near the beginning of December I could help but mention lately how shockingly mild it became. Today was a slightly different story I was definitely feeling a little colder, thought that perhaps it was just me but I put on a extra layer that had recently made me feel too hot but for today it was just right and I was glad I put on the extra layer or I know I would of been cold without it. The problem I spoke about not receiving messages from a particular friend still continues, my friend tried talking to someone in the network who suggested a few things but it's not worked so far. The plan was to speak with someone within branch but to be honest I don't have high hopes as those people are just interested in selling you something and fob everybody else. To make matters even worse I'm banned from WhatsApp without a warning or reason, this is frustrating as it was a good way to communicate with far away family and some friends. Today I had work for the afternoon shift when I got in I was surprised to see I was doing my usual duties but guess it was no surprise when I saw the shocking amount of work that there was to do. Luckily I didn't have to start it until a little later and there was a good amount of staff but yet we probably didn't get half of it done. Another thing I found surprising was usually they would beg me or others to come in first thing in the morning to continue with it but strangely nobody got asked. Not that I think it's necessary when you think about it but it's just the usual crap they pull on you. Last time on those freezing days at work I unfortunately wasn't doing my usual work but at least it kept me away from the cold, the last guy to leave remarked on how he was freezing to death lol. This is because the plant room somehow had a leak and so needs to be aired out or it could cause massive damage. The problem with this is the large vents inside which with the door open it let's in a ton of cold air very close to were I work. So while the rest of the building is warm I was freezing I'm just glad the door as now been shut again and the weather as been better. Even just writing about it is making me feel cold again. I had plans to help my friend with the rest of their shopping and honestly in the end I think I was a godsend.. well for carrying my friends shopping...lol. I did enjoy the day out had some good food but by the time the presents were dropped and I arrived home it was much later then what I had intended so was a little annoyed. It's been strangely happening lately that when receiving less sleep I feel more energy, it makes no sense but surely it's not healthy to have a lack of sleep. I have been what feels like being fully recovered from a minor flu but I noticed l still sound a little different, it's a little odd. It's all bizarre really because I was fine until on the very day when we all had to start wearing masks again. Now maybe I'm wrong but I honestly feel that's what triggered it as I started to have a dry throat then a splitting headache. I think this was from wearing the mask and not getting enough oxygen perhaps. Those around me who have nothing against masks admitted to feeling a dry throat and being more thirsty from wearing one. I was surprised to hear from most staff that they are not happy to being forced to wear the mask again I honestly thought most of the staff would of been up for wearing a mask. We have to wear it apparently there is no choice in the matter. If you been reading you probably remember me mentioning about not attending this years Christmas party for various reasons and as I suspected because I heard no mention of it the party as been cancelled due to covid reasons. I'm glad as our boss made it strictly for only who are currently working with us right now. And so it annoyed me that no past or even recent staff are allowed to be there. I feel there wasn't really much of a reason for me to go this year, not only that but I had been invited to another party at a later date, not sure if that one still holds but I'm not too bothered if that fails also as I'm not sure of the travel details. As for the Christmas shopping my friend gave me a great idea for some gifts which I can easily just order from a shop near to me, I done that now so hopefully that's this years Christmas shopping sorted. While this may have been possible much earlier but since I was feeling under the weather it's really didn't help on getting this finished. As for the progress on fitness like I feel I lost about %70 of the weight gained by the lockdowns and so have continued to try and shed the weigh off by tracking my step count per-day and doing small daily workouts. I started all this back in mid April and continued until the beginning of October but my work schedules began to revert back to normal which makes it too difficult for me to continue. This is unfortunate as it's when I started trying the "hit" way, but with all this extra work lately I come to the conclusion that for now I might just have to put it on hold until "New Year" is over, hopefully by then I should be working less. I will of course in the mean time still try to get in a workout, but so far this as not been possible. As for steps I must stress that the app for recording them is no longer working as it should and so I'm losing many steps each day regardless we started the week poorly and so having reached a total today of 67k steps, out of the 105k weekly target.
