Why is wrong to vote your own comment?
Today I was just making some comments here on Stemmit, and it happened to me, to see some people upvoting their own comment, and i think that this self-voting is not really helping the community.

Why should the self-votes on your own comment should be removed from Steemit?
I think that when somebody comments on your post, you should upvote him if you find the comment interesting, because after all, he spent some time to read your post and comment on it.
When you answer his comment and upvote on your answer is not really constructive for the community.
You are choosing to reward yourself for doing nothing, instead of choosing to reward the one that read your post, and spent some time to comment on it, and by doing so, maybe he will come back to your profile, or even follow you because he likes your contents.
If you only upvote your comments, be sure that you will get no love from the ones that see you upvoting your own comment, mostly they will hate you, and think that you are selfish and they should not reward you.
Self-votes on your own comments are useless for the community growth
When you upvote your own comment, you are not helping in any way for the community growth, and this is another reason why I think they should be removed, because these are only dragging the community down, and more and more people become selfish because all they want is money.

Oggi mentre stavo leggendo e commentando un pò di post qui su Steemit, mi è successo di vedere gente che rispondeva ai commenti che riceveva, soltanto per poi votare il proprio commento, e questo mi ha fatto pensare che la possibilità di votare il proprio commento dovrebbe essere rimossa, perchè questa è una cosa che non aiuta alla crescità della community in alcun modo.
Per quale motivo votare il proprio commento dovrebbe essere rimosso da Steemit?
Credo che quando qualcuno commenta a un nostro post, dovremmo votare il suo commento se ci sembra interessante, perchè dopotutto ha sprecato del suo tempo per dare un occhiata al nostro post, e aver lasciato un commento con il suo pensiero o le sue idee.
Ma rispondiamo a questo commento soltanto per votare la nostra risposta, non è molto utile per la crescita della community.
Votando il nostro commento stiamo scegliendo di ricompensare noi stessi, per non aver fatto nulla, invece di ricompensare chi ha letto il nostro post, e credo che chi vedrà che abbiamo votato il nostro commento, non sceglierà di votare il nostro post, o di seguirci, perchè penserà che siamo delle persone che pensano solo a se stesse.

Quando votiamo il nostro commento, non stiamo aiutando in alcun modo alla crescità di Steemit, anzi questa cosa va contro la crescita di Steemit, perchè sempre più persone scelgono di ricompensare se stessi, invece di ricompensare post di qualità che meritano di essere ricompensati.

Secondo me non ha molto senso autovotarsi i propri commenti, concordo con te.
D'altronde è anche ciò mi piace di Steemit, cioè la libertà di fare ciò he si vuole, giusto o sbagliato che sia..come la libertà di altri di far notare a chi fa' queste cose che è secondo loro sbagliato.
Why then you upvote your own posts? Or do you only talk about comments?
When writing a post you actually spend some time to write it, so i have nothing against upvoting your own post.
I'm against upvoting your own useless comments, that you spend no time to write them.

I disagree with this. I think the idea is the same, regardless of it being posts or comments. In your analogy, you're "licking your balls" either way.
Of course, I find it pathetic that people write comments with "Nice" or other "useless comments", as you state, but the idea here is that a comment, by itself, is not useless. It can be a well thought out comment, just as if it was a post.
I just wish people would downvote useless comments, but the idea of downvoting seems to not be big in this community.
Io vedo più il problema nell'abuso che si fa nell'autovotarsi, se uno scrive i commenti di due parole solo per votarsi al 100% è ovvio che sta usando steemit solo ed esclusivamente per pomparsi i soldi e il power.
Non so se convenga levare del tutto al possibilità di auto votarsi, oppure limitarla: per esempio limitare il voto a 1 proprio commento al giorno o giù di lì.
Anche questa sarebbe una soluzione, ma la magior parte della persone che si autovota i commenti lo fanno solo per i soldi e il power, quindi l'autovoto sui commenti lo trovo abbastanza inutile.
Secondo me è particolarmente grave per chi ha steem power alta, magari delegata; invece di aiutare gli altri fa solo cattiva pubblicità per se stesso.

I agree... people come to my page ..read the article, make a comment - then upvote their own comment instead of the article itself - it's very frustration - especially when they make a positive comment - OK - you liked the post so UPVOTE it! I'm beginning to feel like the whole place is filled with narcissists - I'm looking for communities here where people are genuine and want to help out others- but it's hard to find. I keep figuring that it comes down to being a numbers game - eventually, if you get enough followers.. a small percentage of their vote will make up for everyone else who doesn't. When you spend time doing research, drafting it up, grammar and spell checking it just to get one vote from a robot... and then you see a post with three sentences about practically nothing and it's getting hundreds of votes - it makes no sense to me. But, I'm just gonna keep calm and steem on. Eventually, I'll find my audience.
YES! This community fucking sucks balls. You're so right on that, atleast it's my opinion as well. Have you already seen the anti-vaxxers or religion-bullshit-tagged-as-science getting hundreds of $$?
Hopefully, as more and more people join steemit, things will become better, though I wonder if they will. I think the "base" community of steemit (aka whales) is already created and it's not a good one. I wonder if more people joining will change that.
