Good post and valid concerns raised about the reputation engine. No system is perfect, but I still believe a system built on transpartent rules like Steemit is better from a non transparent system where mods can upgrade/downgrade users based on their subjective judgement. It's up to the community now to make Steemit a better place for everyone.
