National Committee statement 12 recommendations to make Eid trip safe by road.
The National Committee for Safeguarding the Navy, Roads and Railways has recommended a 12-point proposal to safeguard the Eid journey by road. The organization's president Haji Mohammad Shahid Mia and general secretary Ashish Kumar Dey, in a statement on Monday, urged all concerned including the government to implement this recommendation.
It has been suggested that registration of all types of vehicular traffic without registration, fitness and route permit should be stopped to prevent accidents; To ensure security at all terminals and highways including installing necessary CCTV cameras in bus terminals and counters; Buses, trucks and pick-up van on the highway to stop passenger traffic, Mobile courts must be conducted at Antagarh Road and Regional Road; All district and police administration must be involved in running mobile courts throughout the country; Ensure proper application of law to stop extra fare and black marketing; Strict action will be taken to prevent vehicular movement of unnecessary speed and illegal overtaking on long-distance roads; District and police administration must give power to the use of fake licensee and minors' driving and the use of mobile phones of drivers; National Highway and Antiglia Road will have to stop all types of vehicular movement including auto-rickshaws, eziebikes; Shimulia-Kanthalbari and Paturia-Daulatdia river will ensure uninterrupted ferry and launch movement; After the Eid, Shimulia and Paturia and Eid-ul-Fitr, the law enforcement agencies, including the mobile court, must carry out the urgent work for seven days in Kathalbari and Daulatdia Ferry Ghat; To prevent the disrupted traffic congestion on the highway, the implementation of illegal construction of roads and strict implementation of traffic laws will be ensured.
