Livestreaming the Homeless - Steemit, will you Support This?
So we're trying to get our charity and brand off the ground while at the same time trying to tackle the massive problem with homelessness in our pilot area here in North California.
The idea we recently came up with is to livestream the homeless. Not only will this spread awareness of what it's like out there, but the sheer entertainment, independent reality show that will ensue could be the ticket to getting the most audience and therefore the most donations and the most brainstorm potential as well as community pressure to FIX this problem once and for all. We know it's a nationwide problem in America, but especially in California where:
- Housing prices are astronomical
- Welfare programs give incentive for families to separate and for single parents to raise children
- The drug war had created the nation's largest prison population
- Tech & housing boom has pushed simply living here out of reach of most people, combined with the weather and demand to live here being so high.
Will it work?
If we're going to be successful we need support from large social media platforms, including you. Yes, you STEEMIT!
Does steemit support charity? Or is it capitalistic? Socialistic? What is STEEMIT's economic philsophy? Is it ever changing like the content providers and the audience?
These are some questions jumping around in my brain right now.
