What Happens To My Steemit Account When I Pass Away? (No Answers Inside. Just Ideas)

Death has been on my mind the past few days.
And not because I've experienced anyone passing away around me or anything like that.

Just because.

Sometimes it likes to stick around in my mind and remind how grateful I should be to be alive and to experience this thing called life!

And it got me thinking about what would happen to my Steemit account if I were to pass away?

I even wondered about whether or not you lovely Steemians would realize that I had passed away. (If it were to be sudden)

Because none of my friends are on here (yet) so how would you find out?

But then again, I'm already pretty heavily involved in several communities on here so I am sure a few alarm bells would go a-rinkling if I weren't to show my face online somewhere for a few days.

What happens to my Steemit account when I pass away?

Will it just keep on going on, my upvote bot doing their thang?
Giving appreciation the ones I support after I have gone into the afterlife and look down at you from the Heavens.

What will happen to the $Steem I'm holding in my wallet?

Will it just stick there, forever lost to an Ashley ghost?

Can I make a Steemit will?
Giving explicit instructions as to how and where my hard-earned $ can go?

These are the questions I have in my head.
And maybe it is time to think of answers.

And don't you worry, I don't plan on going ANYWHERE.
I like life. And being alive.
A LOT.
