RED’s impending smartphone will assault your senses with nanotechnology… for $1,600
RED, known for making some truly outstanding high-end cinema cameras, is ready to release a smartphone in Q1 of 2018 being called the HYDROGEN ONE. RED says in a statement that it is a standalone, unlocked and fully-featured smartphone “operating on Android OS that just happens to add a few additional features that shatter the mold of conventional thinking.”
Truly, the phone will blow your mind and make calls too.
In a press release RED praises its yet-to-be smartphone with some serious adjectives. This press praises the coming product of RED in scattered phrases that can’t be made up. The phrases that seems to be satire, are:
◆Incredible retina-riveting display
◆Nanotechnology
◆holographic multi-view content
◆RED Hydrogen 4-View content
◆Assault your senses
◆Proprietary H3O algorithm
◆Multi-dimentional audio
All these scattered phrases that are not building up any sense when regarded as a technological statement seems to be ridiculous context of some fictious universe.
However, a deep attention given to this release resulted out an idea that it is a phone with a similar display to what you get with the Nintendo 3DS. Essentially, you will have to be able to use the phone and see 3D content sans 3D glasses. Nintendo has earlier proven that can work, however it can tire out your eyes.
about HYDROGEN ONE, RED says that it will be working in tandem with their cameras as a user interface and monitor. It will also be displaying what RED calls “holographic content,”
There are two models of the phone that cost diffrently. The Aluminum model will cost you $1,195, but $1,595 is price of Titanium version.
The image, design, specs, and delivery dates of the phone are not final according to the company.
“payments are fully refundable for any reason prior to shipping.”
“I can also assure you that after this initial release, we will NOT be able to fill all orders on time due to display production limitations. We will NOT guarantee these prices at the time of release. Taxes and shipping not included in the price.”
