Rant #1: Hello Steemit ! Fuck off facebook

Steemit is an amazing idea. I am just trying this out and I am really excited about it and am sure lots of other crypto-enthusiasts will enjoy it. I would really like to see this go viral and I am sure that many people will jump on board too.

It is liberating to see a community that allows a free market approach to content creation. Everyone has the ability to decide what they will share, what they will be willing to reveal, and to share with anyone using their blockchain, without worrying about corporate censorship and with the potential of sharing something they believe will be of value. This gives us the freedom to innovate, but also gives the opportunity to be the creative spark behind it.

A bit of business, I can see where this is can grow exponentially.

The value of a good product has never been greater. People have built beautiful websites with good users, beautiful apps with great revenues and now with the blockchain we can build money markets, smart connected devices (https://elk.cc/) and amazing social media platforms.

And most of all, by letting us create our content in one way, and without the fear of censorship, we're setting up an environment where everyone gets to do that – while at the same time creating value for others.
