I agree with everything You said. But I think we just need to get used to it. It is something that happen in every social network nowadays so I don't see why it would be different in here. That type of users invaded the internet a while ago and I think they are here to stay. :S The difference is that here the majority of them won't stay long because they will see that the money is not coming in and that was the only reason they have joined in. To get rich by uploading their pictures and so on. That will leave everyone with a bunch of "dead" followers :(
Thank you, Sergio! Sometimes it's hard to get used to it, especially when they became annoying and aggressively bullying.
But at the end of the day, I think you are right! We have to leave them to their own failures and disasters. Ignoring them and leaving them among like-minded selfish individuals and a 'quick buck hunters' might be the worst punishment for them.
Although I agree with you that majority of them won't stay long around here, I also think we can't just wait for some others (like Cheetah Bot, SteamCleaners Team, Sherlock Holmes or some others of the kind) to do the whole job for us. We have to "reward" those fakers, other people's work thieves and similar with our own downvotes, here and there, when we come across such abusers and violators. As soon as we get rid of them or at best as soon as they realize and understand the actions they performed are not praised and evaluated here the better would be for all the rest.
It would be a sad thing though if many would be left with a bunch of dead followers. On the other hand, personally, it wouldn't bother me that much as long as there are quality and active ones, as those that became "dead" ones in the meantime didn't bring us any value either when they were somewhat active. In fact, quite in contrary - just draining the reward pool.
