Support @transparencybot! Delegate Steempower now!

Hey Steemians,

I just want you to be aware of the great initiative of @transparencybot against reward-pool-raping through bid-bots and similar institutions. We see steem and sbd decreasing in price, which in my opinion is mainly a result of abuse through this vote-buying-shit.

Before I get to the point, I want you to ask you some questions:

Have you ever thought Steemit would be great if mainly quality content was listed on trending page instead of those posts that were paid for the most?
Have you ever felt fear, that steemit and steem could be about to fail because this is an issue that makes the platform unattractive for new people that want to join?
Have you noticed, that the whole idea behind steem is to have some equvivalent value behind the currency, which is the quality of posts?
Isn't steem about to fail, if this equivalent equals shit?

If you can answer those qestions "Yes", then the logical consequence is, that some day steem will be worth nearly zero, because it's equivalent is worth nearly zero (shitposts) and it is just steem invested and bitbots voting, a cycle which only can be sustainable if a greater fool is buying into steem. With the inflation of steem, everything will then go to zero.

Yes, Steemit is nothing but a ponzi scheme, if used that way.

No, it must not go on like that.

Perhaps you have seen comments like this one? They actually can be seen on many trending posts:

To prevent steemit from going to zero and to support the great idea behind it, vote-selling and buying must be reduced to an absolute minimum.

@transperencybot is a great initiative, that tells everyone who reads those posts if they use bid-bots and stuff like that. The "real value" without the bought votes is mostly zero, see this post for example:

https://steemit.com/steemit/@tcpolymath/towards-a-human-curation-token-part-1-the-case-for-an-smt

I like and support the idea of @transparencybot because I think this way steemit can become what it is supposed to be: A social platform of humanity which includes a fair rewardssystem, rewarding honest people for honest work, effort and skills. A platform whose community says "no" to abuse and reward-pool-raping like stated above.

So what can you do:

Go to @transparencybot's blog and read what it is all about.
Delegate Steempower, so @transparencybot can vote good stuff and flag shit, read this post of @transparencybot and if you like to do so, you can just hit a suitable amount of delegation in the end of his post:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@transparencybot/transparencybot-daily-report-card-for-yesterday-5-28-18
Upvote @transparencybot's posts and help this project grow.
Vote his comments so that they are top listed under an abusing post and new visitors can be aware of it.

Thank you for your time reading this,

You really hit the nail on the head. And it was not supposed to be this way so it is up to us to make sure it gets back on course.

You are correct, SBD will continue to drop as long as this abuse continues, but already, it is more difficult for the bots to return a profit, so we are now seeing a nice reduction, both due to price and education as to the long term affects on our platform.

Keep on spreading the word!

He could have made a list and posted it on HIS blog and no one would care . He posted a spam message on thousands of blogs in order to get upvotes.

Delegating to him makes him rich, he only stopped self upvoting his own comments when people reported him to steemcleaners. He's a weasel.

Someone else's success via bidbots isn't what is preventing your success. You don't need to be in trending to be successful. If every bot was shut down the top posts would all be whales auto voting each other and no one reading them. That's better?

Excusing one abuse with another is not a great argument, you will have to admit. And this is not about my personal succes, this is something that strongly relates to the longterm succes of the whole steem plattforms. Sure, big time selfvoting is not a great thing too. But Value that is transferable (social, financial, relating skills) is something that is less arguable (see f.e.x Bourdies Social Theory) than advertising or abusing via Bidbots in my opinion.
