Why do nails are forbidden to cut at night?
These are the things we have been hearing from the past, or can say that this tradition has been going on since ancient times. In the olden days, there was no electricity, neither did the nail cutter.
Then people used to cut nails with a blade, scissor or knife, due to the lack of power, using these tools used to cut the nails, sometimes result in harm. Hence the nails are forbidden to cut at night. In Hindu tradition, it is forbidden to touch basil in the evening. Even in the evening water is not offered in Basil.
But this thing applies to every tree and plant. In the evening, a broom is restricted to use, because there was no electricity in the old time and the money in the house can go out by sweeping the night.
