💹 Testing Out The Native Promotion Feature 💲

I've been starting to get into the marketing side of Steemit in terms of using the promotion feature as well as upvote bots for awareness. I've got to say using just one is okay, but using both together has been the secret sauce for me in terms of getting my post seen.

Low and behold I've actually been getting amazing results lately! My last 2 posts I spent about 2-3 SBD on upvote bots tracking through https://steembottracker.com and 1 SBD on promotion. So currently you can see that I'm pending to make profit on my investment. I'm sure the fact that my posts are good quality obviously has some factor, as well as all the basics like using a good title etc.

The issue with this method for the average user is they don't have much SBD to invest, so either you wait until you do or invest some of your own money like I did and you usually make it back/break even after 7 days on your payout and sometimes like recently for me, I've made profit!

The Best Combination I've Found

It's fairly simple, you are going to go on https://steembottracker.com/ go to the content promotion services and bit about 0.1 on @minnowbooster for your post, then about 0.5 on @smartsteem then go through the list and bid on a couple more bots valuing up to about 3 SBD. I've also noticed that typically paying more on a bot on fewer bots tends to end up getting higher value profits. For example if they are going to give you 2x what you put in, then obviously investing more will get you more of a reward (generally how it works).

What Does Native Promotion Entail?

Basically you promote using and then simply send the amount you want to spend on your post and based on how much you send is how high your post will be prioritized on the promote category for the tags you submitted with. So basically the 5 tags you choose to use, are the 5 tags where your post will be promoted. So the key is to promote the right value that you'll be at least within the top 5 posts of the tags you've used. As far as I understand and correct me if I am wrong, but the promotion basically lasts until you get your payout from the post. So after you've done your promotion, people could pay more than you and push yours down, so have a decent idea of what you should post at. I've found 1 SBD is more than enough.

You can see that for 1 SBD my post was placed second in the Steepshot category, so that gives you a pretty solid idea of how that works. If I missed anything please comment or share a better guide for everyone else. Let me know if this helped you understand promotion and why it's useful!
