Post Timing & Promotion And How It Gets You Followers 👪

I've been trying out doing post all different times and trying out different types of promotion. One of the biggest takeaways I can share in terms of follower growth is that I've found the majority of my followers follow me within 5 minutes of me making a post, so promoting it and getting seen is very important. This goes hand in hand with a good headline, hashtags, etc.

Anyways with that being said, in order to make a great post I've found there are definitely some specific pointers that should be shared with others so they can achieve the success I've been having.

Post Timing

Changing up the different times you post is a good idea. It helps to play with different schedules and discover your audience and when they prefer to see you post. Tips like these seem obvious, but sometimes it still has to be said. Mind you, I post at weird times, but the main thing is I experiment and try to do at least 2 posts a day on average.

Post Promotion

I think post promotion is very underrated too, the fastest way to build your reputation and allow your post to get seen by people is to use promotion until you have a solid following and get involved in the community. I use https://steembottracker.com/ mostly for SBD promotion with upvote bots to help get some awareness. It's really important that you get your post promoted early on so that it shows up in the feed.

Headlines

Not to be confused with titles, but using headlines/headers in your posts, not to mention the overall formatting and look of your post and how easy it is to read along and how skimable it is. By skimable I mean where you can easily jump from each important point very easily and quickly skim through the information. Conscise and informative headlines make this very easy. Always make it your own though, if your posts are comedic, they should reflect that. You can see in every post I make I use a signature with all my info, a nice GIF that seperates it from my article and use headlines, a banner image, custom dividers, and whatever else I can to make the article easy to read and appealing.

Titles

As you can see in all my posts as well as this one, I have adopted using emojis in my titles and I've had success with what I've done so far. My titles are always concise and meaningful and so should yours. I see way too many posts where the title uses undercase and doesn't explain anything about the post itself.

Tags

Tags are obviously a key part of Steemit, but you are very limited to what you choose, so you should choose very carefully. Not to mention for example, @Steepshot let's you post up to 21 tags on your post. That massively boosts my chances to be discovered and I typically get my new followers after I share Steepshot posts.
