Long Term Steemit Investing 💸

I just wanted to briefly introduce to new minnows etc. why you may want to invest in Steemit long term using their native platform.

2 Main Ways To Invest

• Savings
• Steem Power
• Promoting Yourself
• Delegation
• Selling Your Vote Power

Steemit Savings

You can put STEEM and SBD into your savings. They have a 3 day withdrawal period which isn't too long, so it can also act as somewhat of a security measure against intruders. Unlike a bank that you pay fees to, Steemit savings earns you 10% annually which amazing!

Steem Power

Steem power is awesome! It's the best way to earn with the highest APR but powering down takes a long time. Steem power is always compounding interest earning 0.0066% per day. It's amazing. I currently have 145.470 STEEM power so daily I earn about 0.960102 STEEM which is pretty awesome. Annually I end up making 350.43723 and then that would compound and keep going. This is assuming I'm not earning daily which I am though.

Promoting Yourself

You might wonder how this is investing in Steemit, well by sending your Steem or SBD to NULL to promote your post you are burning your coins which in a way helps regulate the currency and keep its value. In this way you are helping raise the coin and "investing" in it long term.

Delegation

Once you have enough power to sustain your account, you can begin leasing out your power to other people via directly doing so on https://steembottracker.com/delegation.html, or via SteemConnect, or http://www.minnowbooster.net.

Here you can see I'm delegating some to @Steepshot and @MinnowSupport and it's small, but more about showing support, plus I get a little payout automatically from it which is nice.

Typically you could just do leases on Minnow booster. It's more of a regulated system with different leases available with different bids to fulfill or request one yourself.

Selling Your Vote Power

You can also use http://www.minnowbooster.net to sell your vote power once you have enough STEEM power. I have just recently started so I've only earned 0.014102 last week, but it's not bad. Then I have it automatically added as upvotes to my comments, very subtly.

Some other main uses of your vote power are for curation, and front-running bots. Curation is just upvoting posts before they become popular and widely upvoted, which I will explain in-depth this week. I will also go more into front-running bots this week at some point because it's a very good and much easier way to spend your vote power than curating manually.

So anyways, those are some of the main ways to make money long term/invest in Steemit, and mostly passively which is nice. The other ways to simply earn on Steemit are content creation and curation as I mentioned. If you think there are other good ways or know of any, please comment below!
