View Count Should be Added to Steemit
When a viewing a blog post, it would be useful to see how many times the post has been read. This is important information when figuring out what kind of content people want to read, what posts were succesful, etc.
Upvotes are one thing, but they don't tell the whole story, and it would be helpful for posters to be able study the anount of upvotes relative to the amount of total readers.
In the end, this would help out the entire community beause content creators would have a better understanding of what kinds of posts the users value, so they could better offer them that value.
Totally agree, an interesting question is how that would effect the value of a post. I believe that views should just serve as a metric for the author to see how many views they have compared to upvotes. This is because I think it could be abused by bots.

I completely agree! It'd be nice to see what % of viewers end up upvoting as well. We all need feedback from our readers!

Every visit should be a record of IP and ID of article to blockchain if visit is unique.
Yes great idea! This will tell us if people are just mindlessly random voting / bot voting just to try and curate as much content as possible. Or if they actually read the material.
