5 Tasks Every Newbie Has To Do To Succeed In The Long Run — It Can’t Get Any Simpler Than This.

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

So you heard about Steemit and finally gave in to the hype and are wondering on your first few days about what it is you need to do exactly, to succeed on Steem. Well, look no further. I will tell you. No bullshit, no long articles, no theories. Just straight to the point talk about what exactly you have to do, as a routine, every single day, to make it big here. Well, without further ado, I present to you the following 5 tasks. Add them to your to-do list. And do them everyday!

TO-DO LIST:

1. Post 4 Quality Posts per day (regardless of any rewards that may or may not come your way; just forget about rewards for sometime)

2. Comment Intellectually on a lot of quality and upvoted posts per day. Read the articles. Take part in the conversation. Communicate your ideas. And the most important part. Don’t Spam!

3. Upvote for 20-30 posts per day that you think may get very popular, but do it within 30 minutes of the post being posted. Keep an eye out for your voting power at www.steemd.com/@username. If it goes below 30%, it probably is time to let it regenerate.

4. Convert all your earnings into Steem Power initially. The more Steem Power you have, the easier things become for you in the long run. Also you get about 1% of your Steem Power everyday just for holding it!

And that's it! Don't get disheartened, don't get greedy, don't get jealous, just keep that creative content creating machine of a brain ON! Rewards will come.

Good this is Great, need to be dome by everyone that wants to succeed.

yes! we need to just keep at it!!

Great post for everyone out there! Keep up the good work and keep blogging!

thanks man! really appreciate it! :)

Note that within the first 30 minutes, your curation rewards are split with the author. If you upvote something the second it is posted, 100% of your curation rewards go to the author. At 30 minutes out, 100% of the curation reward goes to you. In between, it's a linear function (so at 15 minutes, it's a 50/50 split).

So when you upvote something is somewhat of a strategic decision -- you want to get in early, but not TOO early, otherwise the author will get most of your curation rewards.

That's some nice info

Good information very helpful thank you.

Thank you so much! :) AND you're welcome!

This post makes so much sense. I have to up my postings though. Thanks for these tips!

great tips, there really should be a sort of boot camp that goes over some of these when people first sign up.

Yeah, a tutorial of sorts after the sign-up is completed. Great Idea! :)

Appreciate it mate! Means a lot :)
