I recommend CREDIT UNIONS for the less techno-savvy; effectively banking co-operatives, you are a member of the bank, not a customer, and you get voting rights, dividends, and whatnot. I have been a member of one for decades, and they gave me better services than a main bank, and their customer response has been better than excellent. Furthermore, the money stays in the community. Its perfect.
