The secret to my best day ever on Steemit with almost $800 pending pay-outs!
Eight months ago when I first joined Steemit I did not believe such a day would ever come for me. I could see many people making so much in the trending and hot feeds, and didn't understand what I was doing wrong.
I am currently researching common factors amongst top payout posts and will soon be posting an article to reveal my results.
But one thing that stands out time and time again is the fact that greater rewards are given to those who are helping others onto this platform.
That is why my beginners guide did so well. You can watch it here if you are interested
The reason for the higher rewards in this category is in part due lack of new user retention. Without the assistance of others they wont be able to figure it out and may even give up. Hence the huge number of inactive accounts.
I noticed @donkeypong (72) gave his vote at 20% for this film, for which I am most grateful! He is a very well established member of our community who I have been following and upvoting since the beginning. But the point is that he recognises the importance of these kind of articles/videos.
The latest hardfork and new reward system will certainly help with user retention because minnows should now be able to see the effect of their vote within weeks of joining. Assuming they do a few good posts first!
When I first started on Steemit, it took months before I saw any kind of reward at all. And the value of Steem kept dropping lower and lower...
But I remained patient, persistent & optimistic :)
Which is of course one of the most important things in life!
And now Steemit has become the answer to an old an unanswered question:
"How can I finance an endless journey around the world with my family?"
That's me with my kids at a ceremony in Bali a few months ago
STEEM ON with the desire to help others and it will come back to you in spades :)
Blessings to you all my friends!
Congratulations!
Well done for creating such valuable content, you deserve your success 👍😊
Thanks very much. I appreciate your comment :)
Retention can be difficult. I can admit that it can be hard to make it past the few weeks and I can only imagine that it is harder now with more people. Your beginners guide was super awesome and even I found it useful!
Thanks very much for letting me know that. I wasn't sure it was all going to be clear as we were drinking quite a few beers at the same time! I will do some more films soon, helping with the optimisation of posts and learning how to best post promote your work, which is such an important part of getting followers and rising quickly.
But what am I saying? You are a 63 already ;)
Clearly you have a pretty good idea of what you are doing.
All the best to you my friend and enjoy the steemtrain ride!
:)
Well, I got a lot of help from Curie in the beginning and not sure how well that transferred over! I wasn't active enough in engaging with others when I started here!
Yes you are true it's very important to help other people with your content. With helpful content you will earn most. It's not only here on steemit it's everywhere in the internet the same :) Thanks for sharing :)
My pleasure to share with you. Am pleased you agree.
Helping others ultimately helps us all!
The more users, the higher the value of steem :)
True! :)
Congratulations dear friend @samstonehill for the great work you are doing, thank you very much for sharing this material
Have a great weekend
Thanks to you my dear friend @jlufer for always being such a great supporter and commenter on my posts. This is one aspect of Steemit I am not very good at. But you sir are VERY good at it! And for that I am grateful :)
Thanks for the tip and congratulations on your success!
My pleasure and thanks for the congrats!
Going to watch this whole vid now! Im new to the scene. Hoping to become a solid contribution to the community. More information and tutorials like this push the movement forward. The more you know. Cheers!
Were you able to watch the film? I would be interested to know what you thought about it as a newcommer? Was it clear?
I would like to produce some more films, going into detail on optimising posts and maximising the time you spend doing post promotion.
Congrats :) All the best for your journeys :) I also had times where the payouts where very low but I kept believing in this idea and now I really see some great payouts :) It is amazing :)
Thanks for your congrats :) Yes, I had this little feeling in the back of my mind when I first learned about Steemit through a man I met in the jungle in Bali! I felt like it was the answer to a question. And I knew instantly what I had to do. Regardless of the immediate results... which were not so great as my partner lost me to my computer!
Thankfully now she understands :)
Big hugs
Awesome :D Must have been a very surreal event to come across steemit in the jungle of Bali :D I am lucky to have brought my love to steemit too :D so he can understand as well :) Hugs <3
I definitely agree with this. There is a learning curve so "how-to" guides are key. Steemit may not have all the sparkling bells and whistles that other platforms do, but the community and content reign supreme!
People just need to stick around long enough to learn that.
Absolutely. And I see it as our duty to help them stick around :)
The more we help them, the faster they will learn and the sooner they will be training others....
And so it grows!
Long live STEEM :)
Congratulations on the success on here, man! I'm hoping someday I'll make enough on here to be able to pay a bill or two every month, haha. Hope that trip with your kids was a fun time in Bali, by the way!
You know it. And we always get back that which we give out... one way or another :)
Thanks for the congrats & in fact, we live in Bali.
For now this beautiful island is our home. We are travellers however, so soon we will be moving on :)
You have done well for yourself. I will look for your post about the common factors among top payout posts.
Peace
Thanks for the reminder. It is almost finished now... but there are sill so many people to respond to before I get to that!
Only around 200 people to go before I can do my next post ;)
More PEACE
