The joy of helping others set up their steemit accounts!
I am currently sitting with a friend who has been listening to me going on and on about Steemit for the last 3 months and he has finally decided to take the plunge and write his introductory post!
I mention this because I have over the last 7 months posted daily on Facebook in the hope that I would be able to convert many to Steemit.
Yet after all my efforts to really spell it out for people, only two FB friends have joined me. Interestingly both of them porn stars!
So it gives me great pleasure to have worked through the night with my old friend (who by the way is not a porn star!) explaining the many intricacies of this platform and helping him optimise his first #introduceyourself post.
It is a great feeling getting new people on board and seeing their eyes light up as they start to understand...
I really look forward to seeing what he has in store for us. He is thinking about the name @horse but isn't quite decided yet!
Right, it is 4.30am now so just enough time for a few hours kip before Esteban wakes up :)

I just started on Steemit 2-3 weeks ago and I am obsessed!
I've told a good amount of friends about the platform and most think its werid or don't think it will work out.
I know Steemit will be the next huge thing!

Yeah, it funny how negative people are about Steemit generally speaking. Always very suspicious. The mainstream media has made them think this way.
And you are right of course, Steemit will fly to the sky! It is unstoppable. Short of cutting the internet!!!
I am very new, I was also just helped by someone I never met. I hear you, traveler of the world in search of truth and beauty. I share this excitement and I thank everybody selflessly tending the ecosystem.
We are all new once. It is an exciting time to have joined. When I joined in Aug last year, I watched the value of my account go down for months before it picked up recently. It was kinda depressing knowing I was working so hard to earn the Steem and then watching it's value decline every day.
But now times are rather different :) Happy days!
Yup. I'm helping a friend get started too. I was supposed to meet again with her today because she's still unsure how to do a few things, but it got delayed.
It's a bit daunting for many people to sign up and go for it.
But then again, we are still in Beta stage and it will surely get easier to figure out.
I do believe in time Steemit will become simpler. For now we simply have to do our best to assist people! This is mostly why I started my FB group, to help newcomers find their feet :)
You are big-minded @ Samstonehill, you give something useful for those around you! Go ahead and continue your struggle, hopefully they will be able to remember you.
The information that led me to steemit was given to me for free by a stranger I met in the jungles of Bali. He ended up living next door to me for a while, and in this time he showed me the ropes of Steemit. Again, all for free. So it is only natural that I would feel inclined to do the same for others :)
And it matters not if they remember my kindness, only that I enjoyed being kind to them.
The feeling of helping others setting up their account is awesome ! But my phone doesn't like it that much! lol
But the feeling trying to setup your own country community is amazing ! :D
I can only imagine setting up my own country community! Now that would be something special :)
