Building/Growing a Sustainable Steemit Community Part 1: Mentorship

After series of private messages from fellow steemian on how we have made success so far in #stach, I decided to start this series:

Today we gonna be looking at the role of mentorship in building and sustainable community in and beyond steemit platform.

Many are only interested in the result achieved so far by team stach, not knowing the number of work hours invested daily to ensure newbies are added and mentored on several things including producing quality contents.

You cannot grow a community without leaders
You cannot raise leaders without mentors.

An Organisation cannot go more than five (5) times its effective leadership.

You cannot make success or build a community on steemit by just registering newbies.
You must mentor them through.
Most newbies get discouraged after their introduceyourself post.

Mentorship serve as the fuel to keep them going even before the earnings start rolling.
Some people joined for the wrong reasons(earning,earning,earning)
Some get discouraged when earnings are spilted between curators and Author(SP and SBD)
Some wanna power down immediately not knowing the importance of SP
Some dont intend visiting others post and making relevant comments.
For them to grow, you must devote your time to mentor them to bridge the gap between assumption and reality.

You must soend time training newbies to become effective leaders who will train others in the future.

The more value you add to your team, the better your team becomes.

Passing the baton through mentorship is one major key to building and growing your our community here on steemit.
