How does the Steemit Platform earn money?

 Friends, I made a steemit pay account yesterday. The address of the steemit platform is one of the platforms I have run from youtube. From which you can make money by writing a post. Even so, but I do not understand one thing that the steemit platform has the advantage of it. I do not see any advertisements while using the steemit platform. So I thought the steemit platform gives us money. There is no benefit to them if you know how steemit platforms earn money.
