How guilds "curate".
The rewards distribution is a tricky job.
Thanks to the price of steem rising, Steemit is gaining more users, and the platform is becoming even more influential. With the whales on 'strike', the guilds are becoming the new whales. Most guilds don't really write any meaningful comments, besides promoting their own guilds. I have nothing against guilds actually, they help form communities, who share common interests and goals.
Having huge amounts of Steem Power and a reputation of 70+ they have an unfair advantage over the average steemian.
When a guild puts a comment on your post, their comment will gain automatically hundreds of votes, taking away a huge chunk of the rewards that were supposed to be distributed among your curators. This means that your followers will get less from their curation. Right now curators collect 25% from a post.
So that's why mostly people want linear reward system. Nice !
