Smart contracts can have outstanding applications. For example, a contract for translating an article which gives a part of the rewards to the translator.
I for one would love to see something of this nature. I know the whales here are pretty generous. I would definitely contribute. I am going to make a post similar to this about a streaming feature for the Steemit blockchain. Keep an eye out for my ideas!

Could potentially work, yes - or at least until AI translation bots get good enough to take over the job...
