RE: STEEM hits $2.00 USD! Price Forecast

in #steemit7 years ago

Speculation on number values aside, it's valuable to consider the fundamentals...

Steem has proven its utility.

It's not just another token, amongst hundred of generic coins. It's the fuel of an entire growing ecosystem that has a proven track record with a solid, constantly-improving application.

Even though ethereum has been going BiG with partnerships and support - what apps have really taken off on it? Mmm. Some prototypes and basic components, sure - though the tangible, measurable, publicly-transparent growth Steem has had over the last year outperforms anything developed on Ethereum, really - or if I'm mistaken, please do correct me. Not to say Ethereum isn't dope - it's just rather early in its evolution of functional apps with consistent adoption, aside from multi-million ICOs building prototypes, whereas Steemit has proven its concept.

Second, the tech is strong. Performance is top-notch. Yes, there may be updates coming for Ethereum, Bitcoin, and others, but the graphene tech steem is developed on handles probably significantly more transactions much faster with greater efficiency than alot of other blockchains.

And while Synereo, Akasha, and Yours have been in delayed development, Steem has been growing steadily as one of the most easily-accessible blockchain apps to the general public, with some pretty friggin awesome functionality. It's kind of a game changer.

All this considered, there are fairly valid fundamentals to support reasoning for capital to keep flowing into this ecosystem versus others which have limited utility and inferior performance...

I agree with almost everything you said!
In short STEEM is awesome and although less focused on, it is a great medium of exchange, fast, free and easy.
Graphene is also awesome!
Fundamentals are strong, I think we ended up hitting $2.60 roughly, so pretty clost to my $2.75 price target. I do think there is still a lot of potential for growth.
The only thing I would say is that there are a lot of projects on Ethereum that are really exciting, as you pointed out they may not be as visible as steemit at the moment, but they are there. @kyle.anderson is doing some great work covering the developments

I also have a few posts in the works with more detail. The Ethereum Enterprise Alliance also boasts a very impressive members list.
I do think however, that if Zappl is successful and more apps are built on the Steem blockchain, your words will be very true! " It's kind of a game changer".
Thanks for reading and keep up the great posts, I love your work!
