A Steemit Pornography Hub would AT LEAST DOUBLE our user base!!
Just imagine how this could impact steem.
I think that there would have to be a separate "hub" for this to work. This way steemians would have to voluntarily enter the hub and those not interested wouldn't have to be exposed to it.
Check out these statistics I got from businessinsider.com (and this was in 2011)
there are more than 26 million porn sites
the online porn industry makes over $3,000 per SECOND
there are 40 million regular users of porn in America alone
8% of emails sent are pornographic
1 in 4 search queries is porn
more than 1/3 of all downloads are porn
people get more porn than they want
1 in 5 men watch porn at work
pornography accounts for 37% of all internet traffic
Now imagine what would go in in steemit's porn hub. Imagine the contests that would go on. Steemians would exchange pictures for upvotes. There would be steemians offering other instant payment of SBD just to see a "little more". We would have everything from amateur to pros. People would be much more willing to post themselves because anonymity. This would not only revolutionize steemit but it would revolutionize the global porn industry.
Many people frown upon porn but even more people see it as a way of every day life. There’s an enormous audience for porn, and whatever it signifies, whatever emotions it stirs in critics, this audience isn’t going away.
This could really give steemit the traction it needs right now! This has to be done. Eventually, most aspects of life will be on the Blockchain and what a better time than right now for steemit to pioneer yet another major advancement towards this trend.

I don't deny that "Steemy Root" (a better name than "Steemit Porn Hub" is a nice idea if executable, however I'd really like to see a "Steemit Wiki" without the censorship that Wikipedia is "dogged" by. In particular, the limitations against "fringe" material from "non-mainstream media" (counter-propaganda) sources, as well as the "slander against living persons" issues.
Eventually porn and wiki and a lot more will come on steemit platform.
I'd like to see the "Steemit Wiki" feature some kind of branching voting with an auto-statistical summary type thing. PLEASE read more to understand what I've not articulated well here.
For example, there's the "official" story about the JFK Assassination that Wikipedia carries. Because it's so large, they can't help but include a crappy "alternative theory" article which is sabotaged and diminished at every chance they get. Most events aren't even allowed a critical paragraph. Every event in history has many, many, many sides to it - from winners to losers to witnesses to global ramifications to micro results. JFK or 9-11 would have countless alternative or revisionist histories that can be documented and voted upon. Smaller events may only have the "official" version from mainstream media, the "alternative" version based on eye-witness testimony, a "speculative" version to be discussed and debated, etc. The summary would show the routes most travelled/voted/endorsed/believed.
