Snake Wine or French Wine?
Hi, Dear Steemians Friends.
I really want to thank you all for all the comments you gave to me yesterday on my "Celebrating 1500 Followers" post. Like I say in one or two replies better be followed by 1500 good peoples than 15000 not really good one. What is the most important to my eyes, before the money or being renowned is the love in and out of the communities I help and the one I always look for better development for my people. Love makes you feel good and stronger in what you are working for money can help for sure but it is not the primary thing in life. To finish the celebration of yesterday, I want to share with you a drink. I usually don't drink alcohol, only if I have a good dinner I will open a bottle of wine but it may last three days if I am alone to drink it. Today I will open two bottles one for the people who want to try something different than what we all used to see or drink and the other one a more classic one. The first bottle is a Lao and Vietnamese traditional alcohol with a cobra snake inside the bottle with some ginseng and other kinds of roots and fruits. People in this part of Asia believe by drinking this alcohol with a snake inside make you stronger and also used as a medicine for different diseases. I am not sure about its medicinal properties but why not. I have somewhere some pictures of a glass tank with plenty of venomous snakes, spiders and other in alcohol that used to be at a little booth at Luang Prabang (Laos) pier next to the Mekhong river for the people to buy a glass in order to get a boost. Hopefully, I can find these pictures one day and make a post about it. So let's call the first bottle the Cobra drink and because I am sure some of you will not like it I put another bottle of very good French wine. I remember some construction worker coming at my home to fix something and one of them ask me to remove the bottle with the Cobra, he was nearly shaking and it wasn't possible for him to take the bottle in his hands. Hahaha. Thanks again to all of you.
Here is the Snake Wine bottle.
Here is a good bottle of French wine.

I am thinking same as you. Whatever I can try I will, in the jungle with the Karen army I try some very exotic food and it all tastes good. I always think if people do it it is because its good. The only thing I will not are dogs because I am a dog lover and I can't imagine that to happen. Thank you :)
Sorry for late reply naka.
Wow !! that was interesting !! How many years for those Army experiences you had? If you dont mind , I really love to hear more from you regarding all exotic food or adventure experiences in the jungle. (I like to read about all true story from ppl so much). about the dogs, I agree to safe them because they are better to be our best friend, they are smart , and teachable, sometime they can help us in some hard situation too. :-)
Have a Wonderful Day
@ginatkidishere

Not in my case 555 :)
Haha snake vine is scary for me stay away...french is
I prefer French wine 🍷 😅😅😅
French wine taste a way better especially with food :)
I think if I had the chance I would definitely have to try the Cobra wine. I remember when I lived in china that snakes where an essential part of some Chinese medicine, I believe it could have some healthy properties - either way it's really cool to drink hehe
You are welcome to come to try it. It tastes OK but not exceptional and both Laos and Vietnam share the border with China so I would not be surprised that it is originally from south China. Snake is better in the plate but I prefer to see it in the wild :)
Thanks buddy ! And I definitely agree, I would rather see it in the wild
This is a amazing of Asia
We do not drink wine because it is forbidden to us, our religion deprives all that is drunk and everything that makes the human mind corrupt
I think most of the religion does, but in your religion, it is more implemented than other. But I think I already saw wine from your country, maybe I am wrong. I think Morocco is a tolerant country and quite open-minded and modern too.
Yes, there is a lot of wine in state-licensed shops, making it closer to tourists and I do not hide there Arabs drink alcohol, but a small group find them smoking, drinking and doing negative things ... knowing that they know that our religion has been deprived of everything harmful to health Because God has provided us with health in order to preserve it and not vice versa.
I think in every country this happen, even it is forbidden by religion or state. I am not a drinker at all but occasionally for a special event, I will open a bottle of wine. But after two glass I start to not feel good, that is the reason why I don't drink.
Yes i agree with you, let me say that Alcohol has many negative effects on the individual and society. The use of alcohol leads to the emergence and spread of many social problems such as rape, poverty, unemployment, theft, excessive aggression, family breakdown, disintegration and incest under the influence of alcohol abuse, as well as the psychological and emotional effects of alcohol abuse Weakness of memory, depression, mood swings, personality changes and deterioration. In terms of health, alcohol abuse causes many diseases and health problems.
I want to tell you that every time we discuss it, it is a serious dialogue and free of fanaticism even if our religions differ. But when we think about our mind, we conclude that we must look and wonder why there is this and there is no one else. And what is more correct?
No worries @taoufik I never think about fanaticism, I also read your post and I can see how much you are open with your past experiences in the western world. I also want to say I met many Moroccan people in my life and I know they are open to talking about everything. You're welcome :)
Thank you also for your most wonderful conversation, accept my greetings
