The Battle Against Steemit SPAM... Busted! Got one on my first try.

It Works!

Today I wrote a post... sort of an open letter to Steemit and a Call to Action. My biggest problem with Steemit is with the Spammers, and I offered up some suggestions on how to educate new users and how to help fight the spam battle.

Just a short while after posting My Thoughts on Steemit and How It Can Be Better - A Call to Action!, I posted a beach photo and tagged it under "Photography."

It didn't take long for a spammer and his link to show up!

I immediately pasted my canned response (as suggested in my post above):

It has been noticed that you have just commited a Steemit No-No. You must be a new arrival here on Stemit, right? First, welcome to Steemit! Because we want all Steemians to succeed, it is recommended that you adhere to Steemit "Etiquette" to ensure your best chances of success here on the Steemit platform are attained. Please take the time to visit the Steemit Etiquette Guide. Best wishes and Keep on Steemin!

... and quickly got an apology and a end result "lesson Learned." See, we can serve as our own policing force when needed. And it was obviously needed in this example.
