I love your section about original work. Money is a motivator, sure, but we shouldn’t forget that this platform is an opportunity to grow. Our time on Steemit doesn’t need to be filled with “How do I make a quick buck?” thoughts, but also our own development. Building the community and “mining with our minds” will make our experience here that much more valuable — and building that sort of environment in the first place is probably the very thing that will make users successful in the end.

Thank you, and I agree. Money is really just a technology humanity created as a store of energy and value. By focusing on "making money" as opposed to "adding value," people tend to focus on the wrong thing. But by working towards making things that improve people's lives, we are creating real and tangible value in the world that people will find ways to exchange their own energy for, which may or may not include money.
