RE: Reducing the profitability of spam on Steemit - some thoughts

in #steemit6 years ago

Steemit is a hard place to get noticed. Even more so if you didn't invest any money. So what ends up happening is people leave the site or find another way to succeed.

Allot that stay gravitate to buying upvotes doing what some would consider spam comments / content. This isn't going to change unless the Steemit as a community changes. There simply isn't enough upvotes going around from those who have the majority of the Steem Power.

Its also good to keep in mind what one considers spam / low content someone else may not.

Yeah thats true @rentmoney - I have been here 4 months and only just starting to make progress - thats a long time, but hey I have the time!

I sometimes feel like being 'ethical' here is hard work and wonder if it is worth it - for every one person that think like this it seems there are 10 who are all out for profit and there own selfish goals.

Yes what is considered spam can be subjective!
