Everything in life has a purpose so i am calling on anyone who knows why the name steemit was used ? what inspired it cos i am thinking it will be interesting so just let us know.
The name steemit I believe was a fitting name because the name of the main cryptocurrency used for this social media platform is Steem. (Maybe it's called steem like steam because it's going to be the hottest new social media platform. In my opinion, this social media is most similar to Reddit in that it uses the concept of upvoting- thus steemit.
