I upvoted and resteem your post, Why?
I have been in steemit for a little over a week and I already had been hit by this comment more than enough of times to recognize that it is a problem:
"I upvoted and resteem your post, follow me back @mr.x"
It's usually the first comment in the thread if not in the first 5. My problem with this comments if clearly simple. it is a lie. Upon checking the upvote list or just simply visiting the commenter feed you can easily recognize that Mr. X haven either upvoted nor resteem my post.
What I also have noticed is that this troll for a lack of a better word have a great number of followers which to me means that many have fallen into the trap set by this misleading comment. I believe people who come into this trick are often newbs who are just founding their way into the platform and would like nothing better than gain some new supporters.
Here comes my advice to you be informed no all comments come from a caring place. Some people on the platform are just trying to make a quick buck and they see you as a tool to this end. Let's try to make this social media greater than it already is by creating a passionate community behind it and stop treating it like a make money quick scheme.
On the end note, if you are a user doing please, stop. Spend your time creating valuable content and the community will reward you.
Eventually those people will see their 'efforts' be fruitless and leave the platform, they're here for the wrong reasons anyway. Yes Steemit rewards content creators but it's not a get rich scheme, it's a community and you have to be a contributing part of it.

Why don't people understand that it's important to create good content if one wants to get a good earning.
Please stop commenting such lines Guys....
Things you love to do. Go after all these that keeps you happy.

Yes, it will take time, don't expect to get rich quick. Many newer members seem to be desperate to make a bundle of money, and seem to be posting 'anything they can copy & paste quickly' this is not good for those who are doing that, it is also not good for Steemit.
There has been a huge increace in comment spam recently, I didn't even stop to think they may be liars too. Everything can be checked on Steemt or the various Steem Blockchain tools that members have created for the community. Everything is public. Don't spam you will end up being hated and will never reach your Steemit goals.
