Understanding Calligraphy
The word calligraphy is derived from Greek, ie from kata kalo (kallos) meaning beautiful and graphia (graphẽ) the writing. Calligraphy is a beautiful writing produced by the hand. In general calligraphy can be interpreted as beautiful writing. In English, calligraphy is called by calligraphy and in Arabic it is called by khat.
Calligraphy or can be interpreted beautiful art, divided into three types of Latin or Roman calligraphy, Arabic calligraphy and Oriental calligraphy (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). In the nature of the expansion of culture, calligraphy can be seen through two aspects namely the calligraphy as a script that becomes the
