My first bitcoin purchase yesterday

in #steemit7 years ago

I had trouble buying bitcoin to date in Canada.
Although when I went on CoinBase yesterday I managed to do so pretty easily.
I bought only $10 worth I was wondering which crypto-currency I should reallocate that to. I've heard that you'd want to invest in crypto's that have a particular usefulness to them for long term investing. I think I'll be heading into Monero next.

Keep purchasing. It will be the best financial decision you have ever made in your life.

In the bitcoin or cryptos? I am planning on $10/wk as well as any extra cash I come across.

The most conservative approach would be Bitcoin or Ether. I would stick with that until you thoroughly educate yourself on how to choose another crypotcurrency to potentially invest in. Either of the first two will give you returns beyond your wildest dreams with no work on your part. You MIGHT be able to earn more with intensive study and speculative investing.

I'm hearing a lot of talk about ether passing bitcoin.... thanks

There is a very good chance of that happening as Ether is not just a currency, but also a platform for enterprise solutions. Also, it has several very large companies, one of which is Microsoft, backing it.
